A Moment of Pride for Dev School!

What better way to celebrate our 80th Independence Day than with a remarkable sporting achievement! 🇮🇳

We are immensely proud to share that 22 students of Dev School participated in the 29th Independence Cup Karate Championship, organised by the Karate-Do Indo-Ryu Association on 15th August 2026 at Skating Rink Hall, Sector 10, Chandigarh.

Our young karate champions delivered a marvellous performance, displaying exceptional discipline, confidence, determination and sporting spirit. Their outstanding achievements have brought immense pride and glory to the school.

“A global lens opens minds, and a caring heart builds meaningful connections.”

Embracing the theme of the month, “Global Lens –Opens Minds and Connects Hearts,” our Kindergarten students celebrated the spirit of unity by dressing in orange, a colour that symbolizes warmth, enthusiasm, creativity, and kindness.

Through this vibrant activity, our little learners discovered that while people around the world may look different, speak different languages, or belong to different cultures, we are all connected by love, respect, and compassion. The cheerful orange attire reflected their joyful spirit and reminded them to keep an open mind, appreciate diversity, and spread happiness wherever they go.

At Dev School, we believe that nurturing empathy and global awareness from an early age helps children grow into responsible and compassionate citizens of tomorrow.

At Dev School, nurturing the physical, emotional, and personal well-being of every child is an integral part of holistic education.

A thoughtfully designed Seminar-cum-Workshop on Personal Hygiene and Body Awareness was conducted for students across different age groups. For Classes I to III, the session focused on personal hygiene, the importance of proper handwashing, and understanding Good Touch and Bad Touch through engaging, age-appropriate activities. Students learned essential hygiene practices while also gaining awareness about personal safety and the importance of speaking up and seeking help from trusted adults whenever they feel uncomfortable.

For Classes IV to VIII, the workshop addressed personal hygiene, self-awareness, and the physical and emotional changes during adolescence. Students were guided on embracing these changes with confidence, maintaining healthy hygiene habits, and making informed, responsible choices while respecting themselves and others.

The interactive sessions equipped students with practical life skills, reinforced healthy habits, and empowered them with the knowledge and confidence to lead safe, healthy, and responsible lives.

At Dev School, the safety and well-being of every child is our highest priority. To equip students with essential fire safety awareness and emergency response skills, a Fire Safety Mock Drill was conducted under the expert guidance of trained professionals. Students actively observed, learned, and confidently demonstrated the correct safety procedures, gaining valuable knowledge on how to remain calm, act wisely, and respond effectively during emergencies. The drill reinforced the importance of alertness, teamwork, and presence of mind in ensuring everyone’s safety.

A teacher who continues to learn inspires every child to keep growing.”

At Dev School, we believe that empowered teachers create empowered learners. With this vision, our educators participated in an enriching professional development session on Activity-Based Learning and Multiple Intelligences: Child-Centred Pedagogy, conducted by the renowned educationist Ms. Samar Ansari.

The workshop inspired teachers to move beyond conventional teaching methods and embrace innovative, experiential, and child-centric practices that recognize every learner’s unique abilities. Through engaging discussions and practical strategies, the session reinforced the importance of creating classrooms where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and every child is given the opportunity to learn in their own way.

Back to School – New Beginnings, New Smiles

After a refreshing summer break, our students returned to school with renewed enthusiasm and bright smiles. They received a warm welcome through a thoughtful blend of tradition and modern celebrations, making them feel valued and at ease.

The day was filled with engaging activities, fun games, and inspiring motivational videos that brought joy and excitement to every child. To help students smoothly settle back into their routine, classes were conducted in an interactive play-way manner, making learning enjoyable from day one.

A perfect start to another year of happy hearts, curious minds, and joyful learning at Dev School.
