Clarion, the literary and debating club of NIT Rourkela is pleased to present to you The NIT Rourkela Parliamentary Debate. We invite debaters and adjudicators from institutes across the country to come be part of an enthralling debating experience. Besides the usual institute teams, we are allowing cross teams (teams with people from different academic institutions only) to participate. Essential

Format: 3-on-3 Asian format
Adjudicators Rule: N+1 (N teams from an institute must be accompanied by N+1 adjudicators) . As always, we provide food and accommodation for all participants including a break night party. Prizes:
We believe a healthy prize money is always supportive of a competitive tournament like a Parliamentary Debate, and hence we are striving to get the maximum for the participants. Vakruta PD is elated to announce that the deadline for Phase 1 Registrations has been extended till - 23rd Jan!

We are immensely grateful for the overwhelming number of responses received so far. Slots are filling up fast, and with nearly reaching our team cap there’s a chance we may not have a Phase 2 for registrations. With an accessible registration fee of just ₹1000 per participant, this is your chance to be part of an incredible event. To secure your slot, we strongly encourage you to register as early as possible. Don’t miss out!

We are thrilled to announce that Phase 1 registrations for Vakruta PD 2025 are officially OPEN!

We recognize and understand the challenges and expenses involved for participants traveling from afar. With a commitment to making the tournament more accessible and fostering the growth of the debating circuit in our region, we are pleased to announce that the registration fee, including accommodation, is set at just INR 1000 per participant.

Given the phenomenal response during the Early Bird phase, seats are filling up fast — we encourage you to secure your spot at the earliest to avoid missing out!

It gives us immense pleasure declare the second round of registrations for NITR PD 7.0 open !
It will be held from 16th to 18th March,in an Asian Parliamentary Debate format.
The registration fee stands at 1700 INR per participant.
We follow an N=1 rule,implying that the number of teams must be equal to the number of adjudicators.
