The Evolutionary view of Supply Chain management:
Like everything in life the concepts of operations management are ever-changing and have come to a long way from being different standalone functions to the integrated collaboration, with the help of new technology and talents.

House of Quality & QFD
House of Quality refers to a well-known process for product development that is inspired by customer desires for product or process development and anchored by the capabilities and resources of the organization seeking to meet those desires. It is a process of listening to customers, translating their desires into a written plan, prioritizing steps of ex*****on based on what is most important to the customer, and putting a realistic plan on paper.

House of Quality is a part of a larger process called QFD, which stands for Quality, Function, Deployment. This represents quality-monitoring, a focus on the function of ex*****on of a quality plan, and the application of resources for deployment of that plan.

What to do today: In the current landscape of COVID 19, after extensive research we see that a complete short-term response means tackling six sets of issues that require quick action across the end-to-end supply chain.

1) Create transparency on Multi-tier supply chain, lists of critical components, Origin of supply and alternative sources.
2) Estimate available inventory.
3) Assess realistic final-customer demand and behavior.
4) Optimize production and distribution capability to ensure employee safety and health.
5) Identify and secure logistics capacity, transportation.
6) Managing Cash, Net working capital (NWC) and financial stress testing.

game called “The Beer Game”. The selected teams will be invited to participate in the Tech Fest for the Final Round
