From humble beginnings to a beacon of knowledge, the Mahatma Gandhi Central Library has stood as a testament to growth and progress. 📚✨ Established in 1847 with just a few hundred books, it has evolved into a modern marvel spanning 80,000 sq. ft., equipped with RFID technology and seamless connectivity for over 200 computers.Transitioning to IIT status in 2001 marked a new chapter, culminating in a state-of-the-art building in 2007. 💡 Let's celebrate the rich history and promising future of our library, a symbol of academic excellence and innovation.

Meet Om Prakash Jain, an Indian art curator, collector, and philanthropist whose enduring legacy in preserving and advancing traditional arts has left an indelible mark on India's cultural landscape.
Founder of Sanskriti Foundation, his devotion to preserving traditional arts earned him the Padma Shree in 2003.
🏛️ The Sanskriti Kendra Museums stand testament to his commitment, and the auditorium named in his honour at our Civil Engineering department echoes his influence.
