πΈβ¨ Utsav-e-Dandiya 2025 β¨πΈ
The Departments of Physiotherapy & Nursing, Baba Mastnath University, organized a vibrant cultural evening βUtsav-e-Dandiyaβ at the Mini Auditorium, celebrating the rich blend of music, dance, and traditions. ππ₯πΆ
Honβble Prof. (Dr.) H. L. Verma, Vice-Chancellor and Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar, Registrar, graced the occasion as chief guests. They appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee and encouraged students to actively participate in cultural events that keep Indian traditions alive and strengthen unity. πβ¨
Students and faculty members, dressed in colorful traditional attire, lit up the stage with mesmerizing Garba and Dandiya performances. The evening was filled with joy, cultural competitions, and prizes for the winners. ππ
The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sonia Saroha, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Physiotherapy, and organized by Convener Dr. Ruchi & Co-convener Dr. Preeti.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Training in the Department of Physiotherapy π©Ίβ¨
The Department of Physiotherapy successfully organized a Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Program, where students learned essential life-saving skills including CPR, artificial respiration, and first aid by trainer Mr. Rajbir singh from Holy Heart Hospital.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) H. L. Verma (Vice-Chancellor), along with Dr. Vinod Kumar (Registrar), and Mr. Rammehar (PRO).
The training was conducted under the guidance of Deputy Dean Dr. Sonia Saroha, coordinated by Convener Dr. Jyoti Rani and Co-Convener Dr. Suman Rani, with active support from faculty members Dr. Charu Sharma, Dr. Preeti Sangwan, Dr. Preeti, Dr. Ruchi, Dr. Manila Duhan, Dr. Neha, Dr. Pinki, and Dr. Pradeep.

The Faculty of Physiotherapy successfully organized a National Seminar on the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day with the theme:

The seminar was graced by the presence of our esteemed Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. H. L. Verma and Dean Student Welfare Dr. Sudhir Malik, who encouraged and motivated the participants.
The academic session was enriched with insightful lectures delivered by distinguished speakers β Dr. Vikas Lamba and Dr. Pawan Sharma, who highlighted the significance of physiotherapy in enhancing mobility, independence, and quality of life.

πΏβ¨ Health Awareness Camp β World Physiotherapy Day 2025 β¨πΏ
We are delighted to share that a Health Awareness Camp was successfully organized at Government Senior Secondary School, Sunaria, on the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day 2025. π
The camp aimed to spread awareness about the importance of physiotherapy in promoting healthy living, preventing lifestyle-related conditions, and improving quality of life. Students and community members actively participated and learned about exercises, posture care, and the vital role physiotherapists play in healthcare. πͺπ§ββοΈ

Workshop Day 2: IASTM Technique
2 days Hand's workshop on IASTM Technique was successfully completed with an aim to provide participation a comprehensive understanding of IASTM Technique and it's application in the field of physiotherapy.
The event was embraced by the presence of Pro- Chancellor Dr Anjana Rao, Vice Chancellor Prof.( Dr) R S Yadav, Registrar Dr Manoj Kumar Verma, DSW Dr Ravi Rana, Medical Superintendent Dr Lalit Kumar, IQAC Deputy Director Dr Devendra Vashisht along with FOP Dean Prof.(Dr) Vinay Jagga, Deputy Dean Dr Sonia Saroha, Dr Navdeep Bisla, Dr Jyoti Rani, Dr Preeti Sangwan, Dr Preeti Lathwal, Dr Sonam Bisla, Dr Suman Rani, Dr Manoj Kumar , Dr Ruchi and Dr Pradeep.
Dr. Saurabh Wadhwa, Director and Founder of PROAKT Physio Center, and Dr. Sonia Chahar, HOD Maharaja Agrasen Hospital and Jeevodaya Hospital, presented on IASTM technology during this workshop. They also demonstrated a live IASTM Technique session during which they explained how we can use IASTM Technique to treat various types of muscle pain.
Highlights of the Workshop
* Learned the Art of soft tissue mobilization in Cervical radiculopathy/ neck pain / tension headaches .
* Learned IASTM application for shoulder pathology ( Frozen shoulder/ Rotator cuff injury/ impingement with glides to improve the internal rotation .
* Clinically learned the concept of IASTM for A1 pulley (trigger thumb and trigger finger )
* Clinically learned the hip pathology and knee pathology with IASTM and additional manual therapy manovers.
* Ankle sprain management in
Weight bearing / non weight bearing and partial weight bearing .
* Asthma and link of SCM muscles with proper hook technique.
* Low back pain and middle thoracic injury treatment learned and applied with IASTM and Kaltenborn.

Workshop Day 1 - IASTM Technique
Instrumented- assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), utilizes a special tool for decreasing muscle tension and tightness, as well as any other tissue restrictions that may be present, such as fascia or adhesions in tendons or ligaments.
The first day of the IASTM (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) workshop led by renowned experts, Dr. Sourabh Wadhwa and Dr. Sonia Chahar, was a highly informative and engaging experience. The workshop aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of IASTM techniques and their applications in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation.
The goals of the workshop included
* Understanding the mechanism and why behind using IASTM
* Learning the six different stroking techniques (SFBSFJ)
* Learning to apply the Multipurpose tools dynamics and applications.
*Learning the concept of Myofascial restriction and how it forces other muscle to compensate.
Day 1 was concluded with rivision of all 6 application techniques to complete the course.
