๐ฎ๐ณ *Visit to Parliament House, New Delhi* ๐ฎ๐ณ
Learning moved beyond the classroom as students of Grades XI and XII of Model School embarked on an enriching educational visit to the Parliament House, New Delhi, on 14 May 2026. The visit provided students with a unique opportunity to witness the heart of Indian democracy and understand the functioning of the nationโs parliamentary system firsthand.
After completing the necessary security formalities, students toured both the Old Parliament House and the New Parliament House, closely observing the countryโs legislative institutions.
The students visited the Old Parliament House, also known as _Sansad Bhavan_. They explored the historic _Central Hall_, where many important decisions related to Indiaโs freedom and Constitution were taken. They also visited the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha chambers and gained knowledge about the structure and functioning of the Indian Parliament.
The visit to the New Parliament House was equally informative and exciting. Students admired its modern architecture, spacious halls, and advanced digital facilities. They also learned that the building was inaugurated on 28 May 2023 and constructed within two and a half years. Its unique design and earthquake-resistant features highlighted the blend of tradition and modern technology in contemporary India.
The students also visited the _Parliament Library_, established in 1921, and learned about its importance as a centre for research and reference for Members of Parliament and scholars.
This educational trip was organized in accordance with CBSE guidelines to promote experiential and practical learning beyond the classroom. Respected Principal Maโam *Dr. Aruna Taneja*, Block Incharge *Dr. Sunil Bhardwaj*, along with faculty members, accompanied the students during the visit.
Through this educational visit, students developed a better understanding of the Indian Parliamentary System, constitutional values, and the responsibilities of citizens in a democracy. The experience proved to be highly informative, inspiring, and enriching for all the students. โจ
