Rupak Goswami is a classical vocal Music artist in the Gosvami Gharana tradition. The Gosvami tradition is popular for its rare combination of svara, laya, and sahitya. Born in Mumbai, Rupak Goswami began his formal Music training at birth from his father, Pandit Ashok Kumar Goswami, who has preserved the tradition as received from his forefathers. Rupak Goswami utilizes the harmonium to teach his students perfect pitch and the tanpura to express the nuances of traditional Raagas.
"Through the special structure of the vocal organ, a human being is capable of making a greater variety of tones than any other living being and thus can express every emotion."
The Ragatmika Art Gurukul was begun in 2011 in Vrindavan where Rupak Goswami has been living since 2006.

The double meaning of the word Raaga as both melody and spontaneous loving attraction to the Lord is an indication of the spiritual and devotional approach that Rupak Goswami takes to the art of Indian classical vocal Music, which historically has always been closely connected to the Bhakti movement.

न नादेन विना गीतं न नादेन विना स्वरः | न नादेन विना नृत्तं तस्मान्नादात्मकं जगत् ||
बृहद्देशी
There is no music without Nād, there is no swar without Nād, there is no dance without Nād, hence the world is of the essence of Nād.

O nadiya chale, chale re dhara
The river and the stream both keep flowing
Chanda chale, chale re taara
The moon and the stars both keep moving
Tujhko chalna hoga, tujhko chalna hoga
You'll have to keep moving
Jeevan kahin bhi theharta nahi hai
Life doesn't stop anywhere
Aandhi se, toofan se, darta nahi hai
Don't fear high winds and storms
Tu na chalega toh chal dengi raahein
The paths will leave if you don't walk
Manzil ko tarsengi teri nigahein
Your eyes will then yearn for the destination
Tujhko chalna hoga, tujhko chalna hoga
You'll have to keep moving
O nadiya chale, chale re dhara
The river and the stream both keep flowing
Chanda chale, chale re taara
The moon and the stars both keep moving
Tujhko chalna hoga, tujhko chalna hoga
You'll have to keep moving
Paar hua woh raha joh safar mein
The one who is in the journey will cross it
Joh bhi ruka phir gaya woh bhanwar mein
The one who stops will end up in a vortex
Naav toh kya, beh jaye kinaara
Forget a boat, even the shore will wash away
Badi hi tezz samay ki hai dhara
The stream of time is very rough
Tujhko chalna hoga, tujhko chalna hoga
You'll have to keep moving
O nadiya chale, chale re dhara
The river and the stream both keep flowing
Chanda chale, chale re taara
The moon and the stars both keep moving
Tujhko chalna hoga, tujhko chalna hoga
You'll have to keep moving
Tujhko chalna hoga, tujhko chalna hoga
You'll have to keep moving
