With the aim of raising awareness about environmental sustainability and encouraging the recycling of used materials, our school organized a "Best Out of Waste" activity. The event provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills by transforming everyday scrap items into valuable and artistic products.

Students of Group A prepared beautiful decorative items using old newspapers, plastic bottles, cardboard, and other recyclable materials. Their creativity and innovative ideas turned waste into eye-catching art pieces.

Students of Group B designed attractive wall hangings with the help of unused CDs, ice cream sticks, and colored paper. Their work reflected artistic skills and promoted the message of reusing waste materials effectively.

Students of Group C prepared impressive 3D models on different themes. Using discarded boxes, thermocol, and other waste materials, they created unique and informative models that displayed both imagination and teamwork.

The "Best Out of Waste" activity was a resounding success. It not only brought out the hidden talents of the students but also taught them a valuable lesson about sustainability—that "waste" is only waste if we do not know how to use it. The event concluded with an exhibition where the creative items were displayed for teachers and peers to appreciate.

Happy Mother’s Day

Our school was filled with warmth and joy today as we celebrated Mother’s Day. It was a beautiful morning dedicated to the incredible women who shape our world with their unconditional love and silent sacrifices.

The celebration held in a morning assembly in which students delivered heartfelt speech which highlighted the role of mothers in shaping our lives. Special performance including a song and a cute dance performance by little stars of pre primary school which filled the atmosphere with emotions and happiness.

Our Principal shared inspiring thoughts, about motherhood and encourage students to always respect and care for their parents.
The Mother’s Day celebration spread a message of love, respect, and gratitude towards mothers and made the day truly special for everyone present.

On 29th April Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026-27 held with great dignity and enthusiasm, marking a significant milestone as the newly elected student council officially assumed their roles. The event was a celebration of leadership, creativity, and the vibrant spirit of the school community.

The ceremony commenced with a soulful invocation and the traditional lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, symbolizing the spread of knowledge and wisdom.
A series of captivating cultural performances added vibrancy to the event, featuring a graceful dance and singing performance by students.

The highlight of the day was the Badge Distribution Ceremony. The newly elected Head Boy, Head Girl, School prefect,Cultural Captain, Sports Captian, Discipline captain and House captain were conferred with their badges and sashes by the Guest and Principal. These badges serve as a formal recognition of their responsibility to lead with dedication.

The ceremony concluded with inspiring speech by Principal Sir and the National Anthem, leaving the student leaders motivated to "lead by example" throughout the academic year.

Annual Academic Prize Distribution Report (2025–26)
The Annual Academic Prize Distribution Ceremony for the session 2025–26 was organised with great enthusiasm and pride in Swami Dayananda Saraswati School Rishikesh.

The event aimed to recognize and celebrate the hard work, dedication, and academic excellence of our students.

The event began with a warm welcome of distinguish guests: Chief guest Mr. Sampuran Gehlaut ji (Retd. Group Captain of Indian Air Force & convenor of Shamyapras), Swami Vasudev das ji(President of the Shamyapras), Acharya Vinayak Bhatt(Principal of Birla Swarg Ashram Gurukul Rishikesh),Special guest : Dr. Manoj Dabral ji(Retd. Principal from inter college kimsar Pauri Garhwal) honoured by Mr. Saurabh Agrwal( Principal of SDS), Swami Parbrahmananda ji ,Swami Shradhananda ji, Mr.Gunanand Rayal ji(Swami Dayananda Ashram),Mr.J.S.Chauhan(Chief Administrative Officer) dignitaries, teachers, parents and students. The school principal addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of consistent effort, discipline, and perseverance in achieving success.

Students who excelled in various academic fields were honored with certificates, and trophies. Special recognition was also given to those who had prefect attendance for the academic session (2025-26), reflecting the holistic development encouraged by the school.

The highlight of the event was the distribution of 30 bicycles by the NGO Shyamyapras to the girls of Swami Dayananda Saraswati School. These 30 girls rectited the Shlokas of 12 & 15 Chapter of Srimad Bhagwad Geeta and took an oath that they will follow the Geeta path in their daily life.

Parents of prize winner and bicycle receiver were also witnessed the program who appreciated this step very much.

Chief guest Group Captain Mr. Gehlaut ji told the importance of doing Geeta path and role of Sanskrit in the daily life of students.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, guests, teachers, students, and especially the Sabhyprash Organization for their valuable support.

Overall, the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony was a grand success, inspiring students to strive for excellence and continue their journey of learning with determination.

A Fusion of Creativity and Heritage
Inter House Competition

Today, SDS campus buzzed with creativity and cultural fervor as students participated in three distinct competitions across different groups. These events were organized to enhance public speaking skills and foster an appreciation for our rich literary heritage.

Group A – Picture Talk Competition
Our youngest learners brought stories to life. With incredible imagination and confidence, Group A students showcased their ability to interpret visuals, blending creativity with keen observation.

Group B – Doha Recitation (Rahim & Kabir):
The air was filled with timeless wisdom as Group B students recited the profound Dohas of Saint Kabir and Rahim. It was a beautiful display of our linguistic roots and moral heritage.

Group C – Ramayan Chaupai Competition:
This group took us on a spiritual journey with the rhythmic chanting of Ramayan Chaupaiyan. Their performance wasn't just a recital; it was an immersive experience that highlighted the spiritual depth and cultural heritage of Lord Rama's life.
