🕉🙏Wisdom of Diwali  #1

💮Lord Buddha said, “Appo Deepo Bhavah”. Lord Buddha says that one should not think that one has really celebrated Diwali simply by lighting oil lamps in the house. The real essence is that you too should shine with the radiance of knowledge, so that you can illumine the path of many others in life. The way to do that is for everyone to meditate regularly.💮

🙏Wisdom of Diwali #2

💮An interesting story about this Diwali day from Kathopanishad is of a small boy called Nachiketa, who believed that Yama, the god of death was as black as the dark night of Amavasya. But, when he met Yama in person, he was puzzled seeing the god’s calm countenance and dignified stature.
Yama explained to Nachiketa that only after passing through the darkness of death can man see the light of the highest wisdom; only then can his soul escape from the bo***ge of his body to become one with the Divine.
It was then that Nachiketa realized the importance of worldly life and the significance of death. With all his doubts set to rest, he wholeheartedly participated in the Diwali celebrations.🕉🙏

🌼The ultimate possibility that we refer to as Shiva is very alive and accessible, and it has always been. We just need to step into next moment as a complete new being and find the way to reach this ultimate possibility and to do this, the way is shiva himself ..

♦️Those who practice yoga should always remember Shiva, the great lord of yoga. If one can surrender to Lord Shiva inwardly, all the powers and insights of yoga will naturally be revealed at the appropriate time and manner. Shiva is the inner guru of yoga and all true gurus function with his grace and insight. 🕉

📝Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog Pose) is named as such because in this yoga pose body looks like that of a dog (Svana) relaxing and stretching while burrowing its face (Mukha) downwards (Adho) towards the shoulders....

🧘🏻‍♀️Padmâsana, the destroyer of all diseases.
It is difficult of attainment by everybody, but can be learnt to do so with practice .

Padmasana's lotus pose, a blossom resembles a lotus exactly. To re-energise yourself, cross your legs and release your accumulated stress hormones.This particular asan connects your mind, body, and spirit and fosters physical stability with a good and immense breathing pattern...

♦️✏The lotus pose being the meditative pose of yoga gradually helps in increasing our concentration power. The continues breathing patterns and intense meditation awakens the chakras, thereby enhancing your alertness. You become aware and conscious of minute things if practiced regularly. This is one among the major benefits of Padmasana yoga because in this busy competitive world, what we need is the power to understand and observe things.

🌼 Part - 2 ( important thing to remember while doing Paschimottanasana ) 👇

💁‍♀️ Paschimottanasana is done with a total forward bend in the sitting position, with the hands clutching the toes and the head or nose touching the gap between the legs.
In the initial stages, one should only bend to the extent that one can. The hands may not reach the toes or the head need not touch the legs. That’s all right , With practice, the body can be made flexible enough to reach the final position.

● This is the description of Gorakshanatha in Hatha Yoga Pradipika: “Paschimottanasana, first among asanas, directs the flow of Prana Vayu along Sushumna Nadi and in some Yogic treatises, owing to its exceptional qualities and numerous beneficial effects, this asana was named Ugrasana (the excellent posture).

💮 This is one of my favorite Asan and was one of the most difficult asan for me to do in my earlier days .. I use to struggle in my earlier days where I was in my obesity stage .. But doing it in my regular practice actually helped me alot , it harmonizes the physical structure and it is extremely efficient in fighting obesity. This asan stimulates gastric secretion and removes fat from the abdominal area, leaving it supple..

● In addition, this asana eliminates numerous disorders of the bladder, kidneys, intestine and stomach. It induces a healthy and balanced appetite.
