♟️🔥 THE BATTLE OF MINDS | INTER-DPS NATIONAL BOYS CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 🔥♟️

The Inter-DPS National Boys Chess Championship 2026 concluded on a grand and memorable note at Delhi Public School, Rewari, bringing together talented young chess players from 53 DPS schools across the country.

The championship opened with great enthusiasm in the presence of Chief Guest Shri Abhishek Meena, Hon’ble Deputy Commissioner, and Ms. Dolly Channa, Director, DPS Society, along with Mr. Ramesh Gulia, Founder Member, DPS Rewari, and Ms. Rashmi Malik, Principal, DPS Bhiwadi.

The inauguration featured ceremonial lamp lighting and vibrant cultural performances, including Ganesh Vandana, skating dance, the school song, and orchestra, setting an energetic tone for the championship.

Ms. Preeti Sharma, Principal, DPS Rewari, warmly welcomed all the participating schools, players, coaches, guests, and officials. She expressed her gratitude to the DPS Society for entrusting DPS Rewari with this prestigious national championship and encouraged the young players to compete with confidence, discipline, determination, and true sportsmanship.

On Day 2, the championship was honoured by the presence of Chief Guest Shri Rajender Kumar Sharma, DEO, who encouraged the participants and appreciated their dedication, discipline, and sporting spirit.

Across two days, the chessboards witnessed intense battles of strategy, patience, precision, concentration, and skill. Beyond competition, the championship created a wonderful platform for students from across the DPS family to connect, build friendships, and celebrate the spirit of healthy competition.

A heartfelt appreciation to all the participating schools, players, coaches, officials, guests, and the organising team for making this prestigious championship a grand success.

Delhi Public School, Rewari is proud to host the prestigious Inter-DPS National Chess Championship – Boys (Open) 2026, bringing together talented young chess players from across the DPS family for a celebration of strategy, skill, focus, and sportsmanship.

The championship will be held from 21st to 22nd August 2026 at Delhi Public School Rewari, 7th Milestone, Rewari–Delhi Road, Village Jaunawas, Rewari, Haryana.

🤝 Parent Partnership Programme – Parenting Beyond Pressure 🌿

This past Saturday, parents of Grades VI–VIII came together for an insightful session on “Parenting Beyond Pressure: Supporting Without Overwhelming”—an open and meaningful conversation with our Principal, School Counsellor, Doctor-Parent, and Career Counsellor.

The discussion explored the real, everyday questions parents navigate while raising and supporting their children: How do we distinguish motivation from pressure? How much screen time is too much? How do we understand what our children may not always express? And how can we nurture self-discipline without constant supervision?

What made the session truly meaningful was the openness and honesty in the room—parents asking questions, sharing perspectives, listening, and realizing that they are not alone in navigating the journey of parenting.
