🌍🌱 World Environment Day 2026 Celebration at CMRSS Jarrong 🌱🌍

On 5th June 2026, the Eco Club of CM Rai Jarrong Secondary School proudly observed World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and commitment.

The programme began with an inspiring briefing on the significance of the day and its theme by our energetic science teachers, Mr. Dhiren Tamang and Mr. Neeraj Pradhan, followed by a thought-provoking speech by Pema Chopel Bhutia of Class IX.

Students and staff actively participated in the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" plantation drive and a cleanliness campaign around the school campus and nearby areas. Single-use plastics and plastic bottles were collected and properly segregated to promote environmental responsibility.

Together, we reaffirm our commitment to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future. 🌿💚

CMRSS JARRONG CELEBRATION & FELICITATION PROGRAM TO CBSE TOPPERS 2025–26

CMRSS Jarrong proudly organized a grand Felicitation Program to honor the outstanding achievements of the CBSE AISCE 2025–26 toppers. The school felicitated the top six students for their remarkable academic performance:

1. Anurodh Chettri – 92.2%
2. Kritika Rai – 87.6%
3. Suait Chettri – 83.8%
4. Prasan Chettri – 83.6%
5. Sumit Rai – 74.6%
6. Nikita Chettri – 74.2%

The program was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri T.G. Bhutia, Deputy Director, BAC Ravangla, Mr. Pintso Bhutia (CRC), heads from feeder schools, SMC President and Vice President, teachers, guardians, and SMC members.

The first phase of the program began with the warm welcome of distinguished guests by HM Madam, followed by a welcome speech by Miss Passang Ongmu Sherpa. Students presented a beautiful Sai Bandhana and delightful rhymes by junior students added charm to the event.

The main highlight of the event was the felicitation of the toppers and the recognition of the dedicated Class X teaching faculty for their hard work and commitment:

• Dikki Lama (GTA)
• KP Sharma (IT Faculty)
• Passang Ongmu Sherpa

A proud moment for the school was when Anurodh Chettri was selected among the Top 16 toppers students to get an opportunity to meet the Hon’ble Prime Minister during the visit to Sikkim.

The gathering was further enriched by speeches from HM Madam and the SMC Vice Chairperson. A colorful dance performance by Aster and group entertained the audience. The first session concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Neeraj Pradhan Sir, while the program was beautifully hosted by Mr. Dikendra Rai.

In the second half, a Parents-Teachers Meeting (PTM) cm Health & Wellness Program was conducted. Ms. Solome Rai and Yangsal S***a delivered an informative presentation on Tobacco-Free School and health awareness. HM Madam addressed the gathering, followed by feedback and interactive discussions among teachers and guardians. The session mainly focused on students’ academic performance and planning for the current academic session. The second session was hosted by Yangsal S***a.

The entire program was a grand success and a proud moment for the school fraternity, inspiring students towards excellence and holistic development.

Field Visit Report

On 16/04/2026, a field visit was conducted by Jarrong SS as part of a practical learning activity. During the visit, students actively participated in the preparation of the agricultural field. The initial task involved the removal of unwanted plants and weeds to ensure a clean and fertile environment for cultivation.

Following this, the field was properly prepared through basic soil management practices. Students then carried out the planting of maize seeds, pumpkin, beetroot, and other seasonal crops. This hands-on activity helped students understand the process of sowing, crop selection, and the importance of proper field preparation.

Overall, the field visit was informative and engaging, enhancing practical knowledge beyond the classroom.

We are proud to announce the successful performance of our students in the AISSE 2026 examination conducted by CBSE.

A total of 15 students appeared for the examination, out of which 13 students passed and 2 students secured compartment, resulting in an impressive overall pass percentage of 86.60%.

Ongoing Village Camp 2026

The Village Camp 2026 is currently being conducted at Govt. Secondary School, Jarrong in collaboration with CCCT, Chisopani, South Sikkim from 24th to 26th March 2026.

The ongoing camp is witnessing active participation from the CCCT team, who are engaged in various activities such as campus beautification, basic electrical installation and maintenance, and conducting interactive Computer Science workshops for students.

These initiatives are creating a vibrant learning atmosphere and providing students with valuable hands-on experience, enhancing their practical knowledge and skills.
