On 23rd April, we at Podar International School, Ratnagiri, paid heartfelt tribute to Sir William Shakespeare, commemorating both his birth and death anniversary. Regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world’s pre-eminent dramatist, Shakespeare’s timeless legacy continues to inspire generations.
To mark the occasion, students delivered informative presentations highlighting Shakespeare’s invaluable contributions to literature and poetry. They explored his celebrated works, from iconic tragedies, and also shared some of his most memorable sonnets. Their presentations reflected the depth, beauty, and enduring relevance of his writing.
Madam Principal also addressed the gathering, shedding light on Shakespeare’s profound thoughts on life, human nature, and wisdom. She quoted a few of his most inspiring lines and emphasized how his words remain relevant even in today’s world, encouraging students to draw lessons from his literary genius.
The tribute served as a reminder of the power of literature to shape minds and enrich lives, leaving students with a deeper appreciation for Shakespeare’s unmatched legacy.

The assembly focused on building awareness about environmental responsibility among students following the theme of this year *" Our Power" - "Our Planet"* . Key objectives included *avoiding single-use plastic, conserving water, and protecting Mother Earth*.
Students participated enthusiastically and took a collective pledge to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.
