नागपूर - देशात वीज, पाणी आणि पर्यावरणाचा गंभीर प्रश्‍न निर्माण झाला आहे. यावर मात करण्यासाठी अभियांत्रिकीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी दुर्लक्षित खेड्यापाड्यात जाऊन संशोधन करावे, असा सल्ला माजी राष्ट्रपती आणि मिसाईल मॅन डॉ. ए. पी. जे. अब्दुल कलाम यांनी दिला.

मेघे ग्रुप ऑफ इन्स्टिट्यूटतर्फे वानाडोंगरी येथे आज, गुरुवारी आयोजित "आविष्कार' 2013 कार्यक्रमात अध्यक्षस्थानावरून ते बोलत होते. संस्थेचे अध्यक्ष आणि खासदार दत्ता मेघे, सचिव समीर मेघे, राष्ट्रसंत तुकडोजी महाराज विद्यापीठाचे कुलगुरू डॉ. विलास सपकाळ, डॉ. यू. पी. वाघे उपस्थित होते. डॉ. कलाम म्हणाले, आयुष्यात उज्ज्वल भविष्यासाठी शिक्षण महत्त्वाचे आहे. यासाठी ग्रामीण भागात शिक्षण पोहोचविणे आवश्‍यक आहे. विद्यार्थ्यांनी ध्येय निश्‍चित केले पाहिजे. "2020 चा भारत' घडविण्यासाठी विद्यार्थ्यांनी आतापासूनच कठोर परिश्रम, शिस्तीचे पालन करायला पाहिजे. देशापुढे आरोग्य, गरिबी, वाहतूक, भ्रष्टाचार, दहशतवाद अशा अनेक समस्या आहेत. यावर मात करण्यासाठी प्रशासकीय यंत्रणेने प्रयत्न राहायला पाहिजे. विज्ञान युगात अनेक क्षेत्रांत संशोधन होत आहे. ही बाब देशासाठी अतिशय गौरवास्पद आहे.

विद्यार्थ्यांनी विचारलेल्या प्रश्‍नांवर ते म्हणाले, शिक्षक हा गुरू आणि मार्गदर्शक आहे. त्यामुळे शिक्षकांचे महत्त्व आगामी काळातही अबाधित राहील. त्यांची जागा तंत्रज्ञान घेऊ शकणार नाही. तंत्रज्ञानावर आधारित 34 प्रकल्प विद्यार्थ्यांनी तयार केले होते. याची पाहणी डॉ. कलाम यांनी केली. -
