🏆🎭 PRATYUSH 2026 – Annual Sports & Cultural Event 🎭🏆

MES College of Nursing proudly inaugurated its Annual Sports and Cultural Event PRATYUSH - 2026 with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Shri Shailesh Apte, Head of Physical Education, MES Pune, along with other esteemed dignitaries.

The sports meet began with the traditional breaking of the coconut and opening of the Kabaddi match by Shri Shailesh Apte. In his address, he emphasized the importance of sports in daily life and motivated students to maintain a balance between academics and physical fitness.

Strengthening Mental Health Care Skills through CPD at MES College of Nursing

In view of the growing need for skilled mental health care at the community level, a CPD Programme on Comprehensive Mental Health Care was conducted on 17th January 2026 at MES College of Nursing, Ghanekhunt-Lote.

The programme commenced with Session I on Introduction to Mental Health and Disorders by Prof. Milind Kale, followed by Session II on Mental Health Promotion, Assessment, and Counselling Skills, including hands-on training, conducted by Prof. Shivaprasad Halemani.

Session III on management at PHC level and referral pathways was delivered by Mr. Dhananjay Dongare, while Session IV on substance use disorders was handled by Mr. Mahantesh Karagi. Post-lunch, Session V on self-care of health care providers, coping and resilience, including hands-on activities, was conducted by Ms. Tejasvini Kalekar. Session VI on legal and ethical aspects of mental health was delivered by Ms. Shashikala Rathod.

The programme was effectively coordinated by Ms. Sneha Patil, CPD Coordinator, Department of Mental Health Nursing. The programme was observed by Mr. Roshan Ramesh Parab, MNC Observer for CPD, currently working as Principal (I/C), Government Nursing College, District General Hospital, Ratnagiri. The CPD programme emphasized early identification, basic management, stigma reduction, and holistic, person-centred mental health care, and concluded successfully with active participation and positive feedback from the participants.

Enhancing Teaching–Learning Skills: HSET Workshop at MES College of Nursing, Ghanekhunt-Lote.



MES College of Nursing, Ghanekhunt-Lote, successfully organized a three-day Health Sciences Education Technology (HSET) Workshop from 12th to 14th January 2026, in collaboration with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, under the IQAC initiative.

The workshop was inaugurated in the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Sujit Nagare Sir, Principal, Dyandeep College of Pharmacy, Boraj, Khed, who delivered a highly motivating and inspiring address. He highlighted the importance of quality education, continuous learning, and the evolving role of teachers in strengthening the healthcare education system. His words encouraged faculty members to adopt innovative teaching strategies and remain committed to academic excellence.

The academic sessions were conducted by eminent resource persons including Dr. Jaya Vargees, Dr. Chidanand Patil, Dr. Laxmikant B. Patil, Dr. Sachin Khot, and Dr. Ashok Patil, covering key topics such as adult learning principles, teaching–learning methods, assessment techniques, communication skills, microteaching, and integrated teaching.

The programme was organized under the guidance of the Prof. Milind Kale, Principal, MES College of Nursing, with effective coordination by Prof. Shivaprasad Halemani (Organizing Secretary) and Mr. Ajit V. Deshpande (Workshop Coordinator). The workshop concluded successfully with active participation and positive feedback from all participants.

National Youth Day & Rajmata Jijau Jayanti Celebrated with Enthusiasm at MES College of Nursing.

On 12th January 2026, MES College of Nursing celebrated National Youth Day and Rajmata Jijau Jayanti with great enthusiasm and respect. The programme aimed to instill values of leadership, courage, discipline, and patriotism among students.

Students delivered inspiring speeches highlighting the life, ideals, and contributions of Swami Vivekananda and Rajmata Jijau, emphasizing their role in shaping strong character and moral values in society.
Beautiful rangoli artworks portraying these great personalities were created by students, reflecting creativity, devotion, and cultural values.
