The Right Choice
Birthdays often come with sweets and celebration, but sometimes, the most meaningful choices are the ones that give back. Aarush, who celebrates his birthday on 23rd May, chose a path that reflects thoughtfulness beyond his years; by donating books to the school library.
This simple yet powerful gesture will go a long way in nurturing a love for reading among fellow learners, opening doors to knowledge, imagination, and discovery for many.
In choosing to give rather than receive, Aarush reminds us that the right choice is often the one that benefits others, one that eaves behind a lasting impact.

The Colour Wheel with Grade 5.
Sometimes, the most meaningful learning begins by going back to the basics. In a refreshing Art session, our learners explored the foundations of colour through a hands-on activity centered around the Colour Wheel.
Armed with only the primary colours, they were guided to mix and create secondary colours on their own, thus discovering the magic of transformation with every blend. Step by step, these newly formed hues found their place on the colour wheel, bringing both structure and creativity together on paper.
The activity not only strengthened their understanding of colour theory but also sparked curiosity and joy in the process. A simple lesson, turned into a vibrant journey of discovery.

Observations and Inferences.
Chemistry AKA Rasayan-shastra finds its true meaning not just in theory, but in experiment, observation, and discovery. At SVM, experiential learning forms an integral part of everyday classroom practice, bringing concepts to life in the most engaging manner.
Here are some scenes from our chemistry lab, learners were seen actively involved in a series of experiments under the guidance of their facilitator, Sir Saurabh. Each reaction observed, each change noted, and every inference drawn added depth to their understanding.
Such hands-on experiences nurture curiosity, sharpen analytical thinking, and make science meaningful, especially since at SVM, learning is not just seen, it is "experienced".

Proving Their Mettle.
While the weather may be going through a dry spell, the form of our SVM Cricket Academy U-13 boys is anything but. Riding high on a string of impressive performances, the team carried their momentum all the way to the finals of the Star Cup organized by the GNCA Cricket Academy, Sawarde, and emerged as champions in style.
Match after match, the boys displayed grit, composure, and a sharp understanding of the game, proving that consistency is the true mark of champions. Some standout performances in the course of the tournament were given by Mst. Ojas Harshe (Man of the Match in the 4th match and Overall Best Bowler in the tournament) and Mst. Affan Shirgaonkar (Fighter of the Match in the 3rd match of the tournament) for taking his team to the point of victory. Their journey to the top was not just about winning, but about believing, battling, and delivering when it mattered most; in the end it was a well-deserved triumph for a team truly in form.

A Visit to the Vidhaan Bhavan
A few months ago, a group of select learners from SVM participated in the School Sansad conference in Pune; an experiential platform that brings the workings of the Indian parliamentary system to life. Through role-plays, debates, and discussions, learners engage with democratic values, civic responsibilities, and leadership in a truly immersive manner.
Building on this enriching experience, Ms. Shravani Waingankar of SVM recently had the opportunity to visit Mumbai’s Vidhaan Sabha Bhavan along with the School Sansad team. The visit included a guided tour of the prestigious premises and the main assembly hall, offering a closer look at where real legislative processes unfold.
Such experiences bridge the gap between learning and reality, inspiring young minds to become informed, responsible citizens of tomorrow.

Through lively and engaging methods, the facilitators captured the attention of these eager minds, turning what could be a simple classification exercise into an interactive learning experience. Songs, visuals, and playful activities helped the learners identify and group letters with ease and enthusiasm.
Watching their curiosity unfold as they discovered patterns within the alphabet was truly delightful.

Patterns in Numbers.
Making mathematics both joyful and meaningful, the learners of Grade 2 explored the topic “Fun with Numbers” through an engaging activity titled “Build the Pattern Train".
Using beads and cubes, the young learners dived into the world of number patterns, beginning with sequences like 3, 6, 9… and then extending them by adding 2, 3, 4, and 5. As they carefully built their own “number trains,” each addition brought a new level of excitement and understanding.
This hands-on approach helped them visualize patterns, strengthen their counting skills, and experience the joy of learning through play. Watching their trains grow longer with each step made the concept not just easy to grasp, but more importantly, memorable.
