The Department of Periodontology at Yogita Dental College & Hospital successfully observed World Oral Health Day 2026 from 20th March to 20th April, aligning with the global theme, “A Healthy Mouth is a Happy Life.” The month-long celebration aimed to raise awareness about the importance of oral hygiene and its impact on overall health.
A series of awareness and treatment camps were organized to provide free oral health check-ups, basic treatments, and early diagnosis of dental conditions for the community. Health talks were conducted for patients, emphasizing proper oral hygiene practices, diet counseling, and the link between oral and systemic health.
To promote daily oral care habits, toothpastes were distributed among patients. Academic engagement was encouraged through poster and paper presentations, where students and professionals showcased innovative ideas and research related to oral health.
A key highlight of the program was the pledge-taking ceremony, where dental professionals reaffirmed their commitment to promoting oral health awareness, encouraging regular dental visits, adopting healthy habits, following professional ethics, and delivering quality oral healthcare to all.
Overall, the observance was a meaningful initiative that strengthened community outreach, enhanced professional responsibility, and reinforced the importance of maintaining good oral health for a better quality of life.

The Parents–Teacher Meeting (PTM) for the academic year 2025–26 for undergraduate students was conducted in the presence of all medical and dental faculty members. The program began with an introduction by Dr. Aditya Dupare, PTM Committee Head, followed by the Dean’s address highlighting academic progress and the importance of parent–teachers cooperation. General concerns of parents were discussed with the Dean, and individual interactions between parents and faculty members were held to discuss students’ academic performance and progress. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks, and parents were informed that the next PTM will be scheduled in the upcoming academic term, with the date and time to be communicated later.

Yogita Dental College and Hospital, Khed, Dist. Ratnagiri, celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on 26th January 2026. The event was organized within the college campus in the presence of faculty members, students, and non-teaching staff.
The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, which was graciously performed by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Jyoti Ramdas Kadam maam. As the national flag was unfurled, the gathering paid tribute to the nation with the National Anthem, creating an atmosphere of pride and unity.
The celebration continued with a series of cultural performances presented by the students.These included patriotic songs, dances, and skits that beautifully reflected the spirit of freedom, unity, and national pride. The performances were well-appreciated by the audience and added vibrancy to the event.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, organizers, participants, and all attendees for making the celebration meaningful and successful.
