"Meeting the Parents"

As we draw the curtains on another enriching year at Mango Tree by SVM, it was time for a final and meaningful interaction with the parents of our little learners. This concluding Parent–Teacher Meeting provided a platform for facilitators to share insights on each child’s social and emotional growth, academic progress, behavioural patterns, and areas requiring support.
Keeping the conversations honest, simple, and free of jargon, our facilitators ensured that every parent left reassured and satisfied. As Mango Tree continues to grow, its branches widening and bearing fruit, we look ahead to a new year of deeper collaboration, joyful learning, and shared success among learners, parents, and educators alike.

Bura Na Mano, Holi Hai!

The vibrant spirit of Holi came alive at Mango Tree by SVM as our little learners immersed themselves in a day brimming with colour, laughter, and shared joy. Thoughtfully organised by the facilitators, the celebration allowed children to experience the festival in its truest essence; safe, meaningful, and memorable.
Using organic colours, the young revelers joyfully smeared bright hues upon one another, embodying the warmth of friendship and togetherness. The festivities gained rhythm as cheerful music filled the air and tiny feet danced in uninhibited delight.
A beautiful confluence of tradition and playful learning, the day reflected our belief that festivals are best celebrated with love, joy, and gentle lessons woven within.

Into the Sponge and Out

In this thoughtfully designed practical life activity, our playgroup learners engaged in the Water Transfer through Sponge exercise; an experience both simple in form and profound in developmental value. Using a sponge to absorb water from a filled tray and gently squeeze it into an empty one, the children repeated the process with focus and delight.
Beyond the visible joy, the activity strengthens fine motor control, enhances hand–eye coordination, and builds finger strength and concentration. Simultaneously, it introduces foundational concepts such as full and empty, all while offering rich sensory exploration. A quiet exercise, yet deeply purposeful in nurturing growing minds and capable hands.

A Trip to the Fire Station (Community Helper Series)

When learning steps beyond the classroom and into real life, it beautifully bridges the gap between textbooks and tangible experience. As part of the Community Helper Series at Mango Tree by SVM, our little learners are introduced to essential professions and the dedicated individuals who serve our society.
In this spirit, the children visited the Ratnagiri Fire Station, where they were warmly welcomed by the officers and staff. The associates generously offered our learners a comprehensive tour of the facility, explaining the functions of various departments and demonstrating the vital role they play in ensuring public safety.
The visit also instilled respect for the brave community helpers who stand ready to protect us at all times.

Baby Steps

In a world that moves at the speed of light, education though progressive, remains rooted in making foundational concepts practical and accessible to young, growing minds. Equally important is, keeping parents informed and reassured about their child’s journey of learning and development.
With nearly a third of the academic year behind us, it was once again time for the facilitators at Mango Tree by SVM to meet with parents for a meaningful exchange. These interactions offered valuable insights into each child’s progress, reinforcing the shared commitment of parents and educators in nurturing confident, capable learners - one small step at a time.

To Market, To Market…

“To market, to market…”—just like the old rhyme, our little learners set out on an exciting real-world learning experience. On a thoughtfully planned field trip to one of Ratnagiri’s larger marketplaces, the children of Mango Tree by SVM had a world of sights and sounds to explore.
The destination was the now well-known Reliance Mart at Shivaji Nagar, a place where almost every household requirement can be found under one roof. Accompanied by their facilitators and under careful supervision, the learners walked through the aisles, observing, identifying, and absorbing information about the many items on display.
This experiential visit transformed everyday shopping into a lively classroom, sparking curiosity and helping children connect learning with life beyond school.

The Making of a Republic

Republic Day celebrations at Mango Tree by SVM began a little early this year, keeping in mind the long weekend ahead. The change in schedule, however, did little to dampen the enthusiasm of our little learners, who eagerly took part in the activities thoughtfully planned by their facilitators.
Through age-appropriate discussions and creative engagements, the children were gently introduced to the significance of Republic Day, the pride embodied by our national flag, and the values that define our Republic. Most importantly, they were encouraged to understand how even small, everyday actions can contribute meaningfully to the nation they are growing up to serve.
A celebration rooted in awareness, values, and young minds in the making.
