The Webinar on 'How AI and the Internet of Things are transforming B2B Industries in India' was conducted on the 4th of September by BIT Alumnus Mr. Rahul Kumar, Associate Vice President and Product Head, Bharti Airtel.
It took us on a great journey into the depths of how Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things can be utilised to work in synergy with a goal of transforming the B2B industries in India on a large scale.
We, the student coordinators of the Student Alumni Relations Cell were grateful for conduction of this immensely insightful and profound webinar which will surely pave paths for the students in the technical domain for their future careers.

Congratulations to B.Pharm alumnus of 2k8 batch Ayush Anand for starting his new venture with the Atharva Legal Law firm.
After completion of B. Pharm from BIT, MESRA, he pursued LL.B. from Campus of law centre, Delhi University & also PG Diploma in International law & diplomacy from Indian Society of International Law, New Delhi.
He has worked till recently with the Chamber of Additional Solicitor General of India at Supreme Court. Presently he is engaged as a counsel for the Union of India and State of MP at Supreme Court and also Counsel for the National Internet Exchange of India, MeitY.

Since its inception in 1955, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra has been actively pursuing advanced research programmes which are focused towards advancement of human knowledge and development of society. Research efforts are directed towards solving complex problems, delivering social benefits and driving economic prosperity, nationally as well as globally. In this regard, we are proud to share the news that Three professors from the Department of Production Engineering - Prof. Vinay Sharma, Prof. Joyjeet Ghose and Prof. Surender Kumar have been granted a patent for their research from the Patent Office, Government of India for the invention titled “ALUMINIUM METAL FORM AND A PROCESS FOR PREPARATION THEREOF”- It is a compressive and acoustic behavioural analysis of Aluminium Metal Matrix composite (Al-MMC) foam for Industrial Applications . We congratulate them on their achievement and take inspiration from them as young students to pursue more in the field of research and development for the betterment of society.

On 2nd March , the prestigious alumni, Nilotpal Dutta visited his campus, BIT Mesra, Ranchi for the launch of his book, 'Everything and Nothing'.
Having headed the role of regional manager of Wipro Banglore office , Mr. Dutta has been working at Hewlett Packard since eighteen years.
This is his second venture as an author after his initial book , 'In Retrospect' which was based on the life and journey of a small town boy.
The event started at 11:15 am in the conference Hall with the honourable vice-chancellor, Dr. S Konar and Dean Alumni and International Relations, Mr. Sandeep Dutta felicitating Mr. Dutta with a bouquet and alumni memento.
Next, Mr. Dutta gave an overview of his fictional novel to the enthusiastic audience which included students and head of department of different branches.
'Everything and Nothing' is a heartwarming tale of love and redemption in the face of sectarian riots that took over our country.
It is a tribute to a generation that found strength over and over again to rebuild on the foundation of ruins.
Mr. Dutta was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Smita Dutta, currently the vice-president of Accenture.
