Big FM Honours Students of DAV Nandraj with “Big Gyan Gaurav Samman”!
On Friday, 24 April 2026, students of DAV Nandraj Public School, Bariatu, who secured above 80% marks from Classes VIII to XII, were honoured by Big FM 92.7 under its program “Big Gyan Gaurav Samman.” More than two hundred students were felicitated and were presented with awards and certificates in recognition of their academic excellence.
The program was graced by Mr. Omar Sadab Hashmi, Cluster Programming Head (Bihar–Jharkhand), Big FM 92.7; Mr. Anjani Kumar, Senior Sales Account Manager; Mr. Suraj Kumar; and Radio Jockey Ms. Rashi Jamoor.
The event also saw the presence and support of distinguished guests including Dr. Amit Kumar Dutta from Amity University, Mr. Manish Sinha from BIOME, Mr. Sunny Gope from MHA Shopping, Dr. S. S. Singh from Educative Heritage, and Mr. Aniket Kumar from Bhagwan Mahavir Medica Hospital, among others. The program was effectively hosted by RJ Rashi.
Addressing the students, Dr. Dutta emphasized that support and guidance would always be available whenever needed. He highlighted that the scope of education has expanded significantly and assured students that proper direction can help them excel in their chosen fields.
He also mentioned that this initiative would be conducted across 20 schools in Jharkhand, and DAV Nandraj was chosen as the first, acknowledging the unique potential of its students.
He stressed the importance of promoting both the institution and the talent of its students, which can only be achieved through dedication and hard work.
On this occasion, the Principal, Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, advised students that knowledge alone is not sufficient to achieve success. Hard work, knowledge, and smartness together lead to true success. He encouraged students to remain grounded, not letting success lead to arrogance, but to accept it with humility and continue striving for excellence with determination and wisdom.
He expressed confidence that the students would uphold these values and achieve greater heights.

Eye Check-up Camp and Parent Awareness Session at DAV Nandraj Public School
DAV Nandraj Public School organized a comprehensive eye check-up camp as part of its commitment to the health and well-being of students. The camp was conducted on the school campus for over a week, where students from all classes underwent eye examinations in a systematic manner.
On this occasion, Dr. Ragini Agarwal conducted the eye check-ups and provided necessary medical guidance to the students. She advised them to take prescribed medicines regularly, maintain proper eye care, and adopt a balanced and nutritious diet. Special emphasis was laid on consuming green vegetables, healthy food, and vegetable soups.
Dr. Agarwal also highlighted that in today’s time, students’ screen time has significantly increased, and their lifestyle and eating habits have changed considerably. This has led to a rise in eye-related problems among children at a very young age. She stressed that proper and regular eye check-ups are extremely important during this tender age.
A special interactive session was organized for parents, where they discussed the issues faced by their children directly with the doctor. The doctor and her team addressed all concerns and provided appropriate guidance.
The Principal, Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, emphasized that the school is deeply committed to ensuring the overall health and well-being of its students. He stated that such initiatives are essential in today’s digital age, where increased screen exposure is affecting children’s health. He further added that the school will continue to organize regular health and eye check-up camps and provide proper awareness so that students can develop healthy habits from an early age.

Earth Day Celebration at DAV Nandraj Public School, Ranchi
On 22 April, on the occasion of Earth Day, a special skit was presented by the Balvatika class students of DAV Nandraj Public School, Ranchi, beautifully portraying the Earth and highlighting its values and importance. The initiative aimed to encourage students to protect the Earth and keep it green. On this occasion, students of Classes 3 and 4 actively participated in a plantation drive. They brought saplings and planted them in the school garden and campus, emphasizing the significance of Earth Day and their commitment to environmental conservation. Students also took an oath to protect the environment, conserve natural resources, and work towards keeping the Earth clean and green.
The Principal, Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, in his message, appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers and encouraged everyone to take responsibility for protecting the environment. He highlighted the need to adopt eco-friendly habits in daily life and reminded students that even small steps can make a big difference in saving our planet for future generations.
