Panache: Annual Fest of XISS

The show was to highlight the journey of Jharkhand from chotanagpur plateau. The Mundas came first and followed by other tribes , the Santhals, Khadias, Oraons, Ho, Asur and many more. It showcased the dresses of the various tribes. And also there was the new age look given to the traditional material to show how with time there is a change in fashion in these clothes as well. This time we also saw the dresses from the north east states naming: nagaland, meghalaya, Sikkim. As the style today has evolved amongst the tribes all over the nation. The dresses emphasised on the confluence of the design, style and dresses. The students also displayed the dresses designed by 'Gulachin' designed by Shruti Shreshta. The tribal extravaganza this time was about tribes of not just Jharkhand but also the tribes who have influenced the style of modern India.

This is to inform you that in deference to the CRPF Martyrs at Pulwama, the Annual Fest of XISS, Panache has been postponed to 9-11 March, 2019.

Day 1 of turned out to be bigger and better than we all imagined it to be. The whole day was filled with fun and frolic activities like Run-a-thon, Scavengers, food fest etc and some amazing band and dance performances. To top it all some stunning decorations left us all spellbound. Let’s keep up the spirit rolling .
