“The real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows brave by reflection.”
-Thomas Paine
A strong father, great son, soft-hearted brother, loving boyfriend and a great friend. A man has several roles, which makes this world an amazing place.
Please know that it's okay to be vulnerable at times.
You’re strong, even though there are moments when you’re convinced you’re weak.
You’re loved, even though there are moments when you’re convinced you’re unlovable.
You’re going to accomplish great things, even though there are moments when you’re convinced you’re a failure or that your best days are behind you.
So this International Men's Day, we take this platform to cherish all the men who have stood by us through thick and thin. Who have made the world a better and safer place.
Know that we appreciate you, and we love you.
Happy International Men's Day.

“It's not stress that kills us, it's our reaction to it.”
It feels like being on the top of the world when you achieve your dream of pursuing MBA. Doesn’t it?
But does anyone talk about the stress you are going to go through for the next two years?
MBA is stressful. It is not easy to cope up with studies, assignments, tests, placements, industrial workshops, networking and so many other things!
Stress steals your joy and your enjoyment of the moment, because you can’t be in the moment any longer—your mind is always somewhere else stressing over something. It’s the thief of happiness.
It makes you feel like you’re constantly in a race that you didn’t sign up for and have no idea when you will reach the finish line.
You’re always going to be stressed about something — but instead of letting that discourage you, you should let it motivate you to take better care of your mind and body, to plan out breaks throughout the week, to go easier on yourself.
To the new batch we hope that you’ll glide through the stress of MBA.
Please do not hesitate to contact any member of the Counseling Cell if you face any issue.

"We rise by lifting others"
When you have a cold, you usually recover. Your stuffy nose goes away. Your fever decreases. Your headache stops, and the pain in your throat ceases.
But when you’re struggling with mental health, recovery doesn’t happen so easily (or quickly).
Mental health is long term.
If you have a friend struggling with anxiety, depression, etc., they need your support. They need you to love them, and you need to know that it won’t be easy.
It won’t be easy to be there for someone, even though they can’t always be there for you.
Don’t give up on them. It is hard for them, too.
They need you
They love you.
That’s the thing, though: if you are friends with someone who has a mental illness, you are friends with a fighter.
One day, things will be easier.
One day, things will be better.
Remember to support your friends who are struggling, and they will be able to support you when they’re ready.
Show them love. Show them compassion. These are not things they can get from themselves.

Sometimes rejection in life is redirection.
In MBA, we hustle, we bustle, and most importantly we try to give our best in everything we do. If what we do goes well, we are elated and keep following the same direction. But if it doesn't, despite our greatest efforts, it leads to what few people would call rejection and others, Redirection.
Rejection can serve as a roadblock and would call for self-loathing if we let it. Nevertheless, it can also enable us to self-reflect and redirect if we let it. It gives us a chance to look inwards and see how we can improve ourselves. Rejection helps us to analyse both sides of the coin. Knowing yourself better and understanding your worth is the highest form of wisdom anyone can achieve and rejection gives us a chance to explore it. Rejection helps us to love ourselves if we let it.
Now the question arises, how do we deal with rejection in such a way that it forge a new path for us and shall give us a new direction by doing inner work. While most of you answered, self-reflection, here are more tips to deal with rejection with grace.

Not having the best day in MBA?
Try hacking your happiness chemicals using these activities to boost your mood.
“It’s up to you today to start making healthy choices. Not choices that are just healthy for your body, but healthy for your mind.” ― Steve Maraboli
The brain is an unbelievably amazing creation. When you look after it and treat it with love, it'll give you back so much.
Happiness chemicals are released when you perform certain actions and behaviours. If you know what these are you can then tap into your own personal supply and get those chemicals pumping through your system.
If you have a happy brain then you have a much happier life.
Try to get good quality sleep and make sure to include omega-3 and healthy fat into your diet keeping your brain running like a well-oiled machine. Follow the above-mentioned activities to boost your brain.

“A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in the doctor's book.”
In MBA we all are struggling with consistent quality sleep.
Did you know that our body requires 6-8 hours of sleep everyday to function properly. Not only the duration but quality of your sleep is just as important!
Do you often wake up randomly in the night? Or find yourself groggy in the mornings due to the lack of deep sleep?
Quality shut-eye is essential to living well. Sleep is not a time when our mind & body shut down. Sleep is an active period that our body uses to recharge & repair all of our cells.
Proper sleep helps improve metabolism, energy, immunity, mood and mental & physical performance too.
If you have trouble sleeping we'd recommend you to follow the instructions in our posts to have a quality sound sleep.
Let's get that sleep game back in check!!

"You are more to be real not to be perfect."
When we talk about self-love, it is easy to picture someone reading self-help books or hugging a tree; but self-love is much more than that.
While most of you answered, that self-love is not to be compared to others, it can also be forgiving yourself even after you do.
It can be as dramatic as saying I love you to yourself in the mirror.
As long as you continue with positive self-talk, and are consistent in loving yourself unconditionally, self-love becomes omnipresent.
Tell us in the comments, what things do you do for self-love?

Holistic health is defined as a form of healing that looks at the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.
It means looking beyond the physical body and addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual health.
All of these aspects of holistic health are what enable a person to truly live each day in the healthiest, happiest way possible.
