The Governor of Jharkhand, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Chairman, was invited on a lecture on “Leadership, Policy and Goverannce in Indian Context, by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Centre for Leadership, Policy, and Governance (ABVCLPG) of Indian Institute of Management Ranchi on February 16, 2020.

During her tenure as the Governor of Jharkhand, she swears by the motto, Do your duty with such devotion as if every day is the last day of your tenure.

During the Leadership Series 2 at IIM Ranchi’s Centre of Excellence Atal Bihari Vajpayee Centre for Leadership, Policy, and Governance (ABVCLPG), conducted a webinar on the topic- Implementing Large Scale Transformative projects in India: Lessons for Young Professionals” on June 29th, 2021 in virtual mode.

The speaker for the webinar was Mr Parameswaran Iyer.

He is a truly a global technocrat, former Secretary to the Government of India and is best known for leading the implementation of the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) - Prime Minister Narendra Modi's flagship programme. It was the world's biggest behaviour change programme to eliminate open defecation which later became the world's largest sanitation revolution which was followed by other countries like China and Nigeria.

For the Essay Competition on the topic “RBI Payment Guidelines on Tokenization and its Impact on Digital Adoption”-A Critical Analysis, the following students have been shortlisted.

The key speaker of the session is Dr. Aruna Sharma, IAS (Retd).
Dr. Aruna Sharma is a Practitioner Development Economist. She was Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and IT and also worked as Secretary Steel in Govt. of India. She was a Member of the Reserve Bank of India's High-level Committee on Deepening the digital payments in India. She works in the fields of Digital Transformation, e-Governance, FinTech, and Digital Assets as well as core sectors like Steel and Mining. She has developed and successfully led the panchayat level, governance model.

The session will be moderated by Prof. Aditya Shankar Mishra, Assistant Professor, and Prof. Angshuman Hazarika, Assitant Professor, IIM Ranchi.

ABVCLPG, IIM Ranchi, in collaboration with Empower India, New Delhi is conducting an essay competition titled “RBI’s payment guidelines on tokenization and its impact on ‘digital adoption’: A critical analysis”. The essay competition will be followed by a Round Table Discussion on the same topic.

The rules for the Essay Competiton are:
1. The word limit will be 1500 words for the essay competition.
2. The competition will be open to any graduate or post-graduate students.
3. The last date for submitting the entries is 17th June 2022, 05:00 pm.
4. The entries for the essay should be sent to the following email address: [email protected]
5. Only one entry per person is accepted.
6. Essay must be original and unpublished. Plagiarized entries will be rejected.
7. Essay must be written by one person. Co-authored essays are not accepted.
