Nature walk
Mother Nature has the ability to improve the lives of adults, imagine what it can do for kids! A growing body of research suggests spending time in nature promotes better attention spans, self-discipline, creativity, physical fitness, and social connection in children. So, to ensure our kids are spending enough quality time with mother nature, we found out the best way that was simple and full of fun, - a nature walk!
"A nature walk is a great way to 'unplug,' observe, and explore nature while enjoying the outdoors, it comes with an array of benefits for children. Their physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being can be improved and it helps the children become more positive, have a closer connection to nature (including a desire to protect it), and exhibit more pro-social behaviors.
Crisp air, the scent of fresh rain, the melodic echo of birds reverberating off tall, lush trees—is there anything more serene than immersing yourself in nature?
So we encouraged them to stop to turn over rocks, touch moss, and, when they can, climb on and over rocks and fallen trees," "Whatever the environment, which we assess for any unreasonable hazards, the toddler can set the pace—stimulating confidence, agility, problem-solving, creativity, and a sense of wonder."

One visit to the zoo is enough to make you fall in love with nature and its beauty. You learn so much about Mother Nature and the animals, and birds that live in that habitat. There is always something new to learn about the animal kingdom. Animals are reliable, many full of love, true in their affections, predictable in their actions, grateful, and loyal.

The toddlers of Happy Feet Sapphire International School went on an amusing field trip on 2nd September 2022, i.e. Friday to the Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park, Ormanjhi. The journey began with the teachers enlightening the kids on a few things they need to keep in mind while visiting the zoo such as, always staying with the group or an adult, not feeding the animals as that could be harmful to them, not teasing or frightening them by making any kind of noises, not littering the place and not getting close to the animals.

Once the children reached their destination, they first visited the bird enclosure where they got to see a few beautiful peacocks, a jungle fowl, and some sociable and highly intelligent parrots. Thereafter they went on to see some wild animals; here the kids were thrilled as they learned about a few in class. They got to see a full-grown and sleek cheetah, a magnificent and royal tiger, the king of the jungle -a lion/lioness, a fierce rhinoceros, a zebra, a few gigantic elephants, some mischievous langurs, a magnificently gigantic hippopotamus, an ostrich, and harmless deer.

The delightful visit to the zoo came to an end; the children were not only given knowledge about each of these animals but were also taught that they need to be kind and compassionate towards these animals by taking care of them. The field trip ended with the children leaving with a smile on their faces as they got to see and learn so many new things about the animal kingdom. This brought an end to the virtual field trips during the academic year where the children learned from home due to the covid pandemic. The teachers made sure that the children didn’t miss out on such opportunities that provided greater exposure in terms of knowledge laced with values.

Janmashtami Celebrations!!

"GOKUL MEIN JO KARE NIWAS,
GOPIYO SANG JO RACHAAYE RAAS.
DEVKI-YASHODHA JINKI MAIYA,
AISE HUMARE KRISHNA KANAHIYA."

At Happy Feet Sapphire International School, we believe in nurturing our children through both academic proficiency and sensitising them to our rich cultural traditions.

Janmashtami, represents one such perfect occasion to teach the children about the rich heritage of our ancient land, Bharat Desh.

Indeed, sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, pleasanter indeed than any happiness and joy is the company, is the power of the mere name of Krishna.

On Thursday 18th of August , the tiny tots of Happy Feet SIS celebrated Krishna Janmashtami, an annual commemoration of the birth of the Hindu deity Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu, with fervour and festivity.

The school premises was tastefully decorated as Lord Krishna’s village, Gokul. Dressed as Radha and Krishna, the cute little ones added a traditional touch to the entire celebrations, shaking a leg to the heady beat of Janmashtami songs, filling the air with joy and festive spirit. An awareness on Janmashtami, the mythological stories on Krishna, Radha, Kansh – through plays and narrations; were presented to the children .They were on cloud nine when they smashed the ‘Dahi Handi’ (pot of butter & curd) to mark this pious occasion.

Free Dental Check-up and Awareness Camp
On the 17th of May, Happy Feet collaborated with a Team of Dentists led by Dr Prem Bhusan, to conduct a free dental check-up and awareness camp, on the school premises.
The Team of Doctors carried out comprehensive dental check-ups of students.

The camp included dental awareness talk, educating students about common dental ailments — especially laying stress on tooth decay and gum diseases and measures to prevent them. The students were also made aware of eating patterns and food choices which can lead to tooth decay.
The school faculty and children thanked the dentists and para-medical staff for rendering their selfless service to the school.
