Indian Maritime University Cochin PGDME Admission 2016
Applications are invited for the DG approved course of one-year pre-sea training in PGD in Marine Engineering (PGDME) conducted by Indian Maritime University at its Cochin Campus. Eligible candidates (male/female) of Indian nationality may apply
One-year Pre-Sea Training in Post Graduate Diploma in Marine Engineering (PGDME) formerly known as Graduate Marine Engineering (GME), course of Academic Year 2016-17
Important Dates
Last Date of Submission of Application Forms at IMU Campus 30th November 2015
Tentative Date of Interview: 09th December to 11th December 2015
Eligibility
B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical or Naval Architecture) Degree from AICTE approved college or the I.I.T or IMU with minimum 50% marks in final year and minimum 50% marks in English in 10th or 12th standard
Age
Maximum 28 years on date of commencement of training (01st January 2016). Age relaxation of five years for SC/ST candidates and two years for female candidates applicable
Selection Process: Through merit and interview
Medical Standard
As per existing MS medical standards for pre sea training; good health and eyesight in general, medical fitness certificate from DGS approved Medical Practitioner to be obtained before admission
Processing Fee
Rs.1000/- (Rs.750/- for reserved category) by DD issued by a nationalised bank in the name of "Indian Maritime University, Cochin Campus", payable at Cochin to be deposited along with the application form

Filled application form need to be submitted to IMU Cochin Campus’s address Cochin Campus, South End Reclamation Area, NH 47 A, Near Alexander Parambithara Bridge, Matsyapuri P.O., Cochin, Kerala-682029
All applicants must report to IMU, Cochin Campus at 10.00 am for interview with printout of duly filled application form and all origional documents
