Students of BIT, Mesra have always made their presence felt in technical events & fests across the country. Over the years, the college has been a home to numerous enthusiastic students who crave to excel in their fields. Taking a step ahead, a group of promising engineers have come up and has decided to venture into an all new arena of ABU ROBOCON. The global exposure and standard garnered by the

event over the years has made it an all the more compelling prospect to look out for. The prime objective of every competition is to design multiple robots to work synchronously in a given arena to accomplish a given task within a stipulated period of time. A total of 1500+ teams from the Asia Pacific Region from 18 countries and 60+ teams from India participate in the event annually. The team is entering into the competition with the name Pratyunmis. Pratyunmis is derived from Sanskrit word which means ‘to rise and shine’. Overall the team comprises of 30 engineers from Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Production and Mechanical department .The theme of this year’s event is “A Salute To Parenthood”. The work has begun in full flow and the plan is to get the robots into running condition by end of January so as to have an extensive period of testing. A prototype of the arena is also being planned so as to ensure no aspect is compromised and the team gets ample opportunity to validate its design and acquaint itself with the arena before the main event.
