Delhi Public School Ranchi celebrated a memorable and joyous occasion as Honourable Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan successfully completed one remarkable year at the helm of the institution. The celebration was marked with warmth, gratitude, and togetherness as the entire school fraternity gathered to honour her dedicated leadership and visionary guidance.

The celebration ceremony commenced with a cake-cutting event led by Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan in the presence of the Teaching Staff, Administrative Staff, and Fourth Grade Staff. The atmosphere was filled with happiness and appreciation as members of the DPS Ranchi family expressed their heartfelt gratitude for her relentless efforts towards the growth and holistic development of the institution.

During the ceremony, the staff members extended their best wishes to Dr. Chauhan and acknowledged her unwavering commitment, compassionate leadership, and progressive vision that have brought new energy and excellence to the school within a short span of time. Delhi Public School Ranchi continued its memorable educational excursion with an exciting wildlife exploration at the renowned Jim Corbett National Park on Day 07 of the trip. The students enjoyed a thrilling jungle safari experience that brought them closer to nature and wildlife.

On 22nd May 2026, the students left early in the morning for an adventurous safari at Jim Corbett National Park. Accompanied by guides and teachers, the students explored the rich forest area and witnessed the beauty of wildlife in its natural habitat. The safari became an unforgettable experience as the students were able to spot several wild animals including the majestic Tiger, Chital Deer, Sambar Deer, Hogg Deer, Langur, Wild Pig, Rhesus Monkey, and Jackal.

The students also got an opportunity to observe a wide variety of beautiful birds during the safari. Among the birds sighted were the Indian Hornbill, Robin, Kingfisher, Peacock, Woodpeckers, White-tailed Rubythroat, Eagle, and Spotbill. The wildlife experience enhanced the students’ curiosity and understanding of biodiversity, wildlife conservation, and the importance of protecting natural ecosystems.

Later, the group departed from Kathgodam Railway Station and boarded the train to New Delhi, carrying along unforgettable memories of adventure, learning, friendship, and togetherness from the excursion.

Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan expressed her delight over the enriching experience and said, “Exposure to nature and wildlife helps students develop environmental awareness, patience, observation skills, and respect for biodiversity. Such educational excursions inspire students to appreciate the beauty of nature while encouraging experiential learning, responsibility, and teamwork beyond the classroom.”

Delhi Public School Ranchi continued its exciting educational excursion with great enthusiasm as the students moved to the renowned Jim Corbett National Park on Day 06 of the trip. The day was filled with travel, recreation, and enjoyable group activities that added new experiences and memorable moments to the excursion.

On 21st May 2026, the students departed from Camp Nainital for Jim Corbett National Park after breakfast. The scenic journey through the beautiful hills and forests took approximately four hours. Upon reaching the destination, the students settled into their accommodation and relaxed amidst the peaceful natural surroundings of Jim Corbett.

Lunch was served after arrival, following which the students enthusiastically participated in various recreational and sports activities organised at the resort premises.

The students thoroughly enjoyed swimming sessions that brought fun and relaxation after the long journey. They also actively participated in several outdoor and indoor sports activities at the playground, including cricket, football, tennis, and pool, which encouraged teamwork, sportsmanship, physical fitness, and healthy interaction among the participants.

Honourable Principal, Dr. Jaya Chauhan conveyed her appreciation for the successful continuation of the excursion and said, “Educational excursions help students learn important life values such as cooperation, adaptability, discipline, and team spirit. Exposure to different environments and group activities enhances students’ confidence, interpersonal skills, and overall personality development while making learning enjoyable and experiential.”

Delhi Public School Ranchi continued its memorable educational excursion trip to the scenic hills of Nainital with great enthusiasm and excitement on Day 05 of the camp. The students actively participated in various adventure, learning, and sightseeing activities that made the day both enriching and enjoyable.

On 20th May 2026, the students started their morning with Tent Cleaning and Campus Training sessions for around thirty minutes. After breakfast, the students enthusiastically participated in several adventure activities including the Burma Bridge, Double Rope Bridge, and the thrilling Mowgli Walk Breeze. Under the supervision of trained instructors, the campers enjoyed these activities which helped them strengthen their confidence, physical coordination, balance, and leadership qualities while overcoming exciting challenges.

Following an early lunch at the camp, the students proceeded for a delightful visit to the beautiful Nainital town. They explored the vibrant Tibetan Market and enjoyed leisure time at the famous Mall Road, experiencing the local culture and scenic beauty of the hill station.

Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan expressed her delight over the successful continuation of the excursion and said, “Educational tours and adventure camps provide students with a perfect blend of learning, discipline, cultural exposure, and recreation. Such experiences help students become more confident, independent, and socially responsible while broadening their understanding of nature, heritage, and teamwork beyond classroom learning.”

Delhi Public School Ranchi continued its exciting and adventurous educational excursion trip to the picturesque hills of Nainital with great enthusiasm on Day 04 of the camp. The students actively participated in several thrilling and skill-based activities that provided them with unforgettable learning experiences amidst nature.

On 19th May 2026, the students began their day with great energy and excitement at Camp Nainital. After breakfast, the campers enthusiastically participated in adventure activities such as River Crossing and Commando Net under the guidance of trained instructors.

Later, the students embarked on an adventurous trek from the camp to the famous Woodpecker Point. The approximately 7-kilometre trek through scenic forest trails allowed the students to witness the mesmerizing beauty of nature while enhancing their endurance and team spirit. The trekking experience also encouraged the students to appreciate the natural environment and develop a sense of responsibility towards its conservation.

In the evening, the students took part in a unique Survival Cooking session as part of Skill Education. Under supervision, the campers collected wood from the forest and learned the traditional method of cooking food on wood fire. The activity provided practical exposure to survival skills, self-reliance, cooperation, and resource management, making it both educational and enjoyable for the students.

The day concluded with a lively bonfire and music session where students shared joyful moments with their friends and teachers. The vibrant atmosphere filled the camp with laughter, music, and excitement, creating cherished memories for everyone. Dinner was served at the camp followed by an overnight stay amidst the peaceful surroundings of nature.

Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan appreciated the successful conduct of the excursion and said, “Adventure and experiential learning activities play a significant role in the holistic development of students. Delhi Public School Ranchi organised an exciting and adventurous student excursion trip to the picturesque hills of Nainital for 97 students from Classes VI to X and XII, accompanied by 11 dedicated teachers. The educational tour continued with great enthusiasm as the students participated in memorable activities during Day 2 and Day 3 of the excursion.

On 17th May 2026, the group reached Delhi and proceeded towards Camp Nainital Park by bus. Lunch was served en route, after which the students reached Laldungi and were transferred to the camp through jeeps, adding excitement to the journey. Upon arrival at the camp, the students received a warm welcome with refreshments. The day concluded with a delicious dinner at the camp followed by an overnight stay amidst the serene natural surroundings of Camp Nainital.

On 18th May 2026, the students began their day with breakfast at the camp restaurant. The campers then attended a special naturalization and confidence-building session conducted by the Chief Camp Instructor, who introduced the camp philosophy, rules, and provided detailed information about the equipment and adventure activities. The students also enjoyed leisure sessions that encouraged bonding and interaction among the participants.

After lunch at the camp, the students enthusiastically took part in several adventure activities, including the Burma Bridge, Double Rope Bridge, and Ladder Bridge. They also went trekking from Pangot Gaon to Shiv Mandir, where they experienced the beauty of nature. The students further enjoyed thrilling zipline activities and spent joyful moments amidst the serene beauty of a waterfall.

These activities helped the students develop confidence, teamwork, leadership skills, and a spirit of adventure while enjoying the outdoors. In the evening, the students returned to the camp and enjoyed a lively bonfire and music session that filled the atmosphere with joy and excitement. The day concluded with dinner and an overnight stay in tents.

DPS Ranchi has organised an exciting student excursion trip to the beautiful hills of Nainital for 97 students of Classes VI to X and XII, accompanied by 11 dedicated teachers. The enthusiastic group departed from Ranchi Railway Station on 16th May 2026 aboard the prestigious Rajdhani Express for Delhi and is set to reach its destination today. From Delhi, the team proceeded towards Kathgodam, Uttarakhand 🚆🏔️

The excursion promises to be a perfect blend of learning, exploration, bonding, and fun-filled experiences amidst the scenic beauty of Nainital.

Delhi Public School Ranchi continues to make its mark on the international academic stage with two of its bright students earning recognition at a globally acclaimed platform. Nabeel Jami of Class XII and Shivani Singh of Class XI have been selected for the prestigious Oxford Horizon Academy Summer School 2026. In a significant achievement, both students have also secured scholarships during the admission process and have been placed among the top 5% of applicants shortlisted for the programme.

The Oxford Horizon Academy Summer School is known for offering students an immersive educational and cultural experience in the historic university city of Oxford. Through interactive academic sessions, collaborative learning opportunities, and engagement with students from diverse countries, participants gain invaluable global exposure. The programme also provides accommodation in Oxford colleges, guided excursions, supervised activities, and participation in student-led clubs, enabling students to experience the vibrant academic environment of Oxford firsthand.
