Dhoni's reunion with teachers ahead of biopic release - Times of India Mahendra Singh Dhoni took a walk down memory lane on Sunday afternoon as he sat face to face with his teachers from his alma-mater - Jawahar Vidya Mandir Shyamli.

A meeting of ex students guided by
Principal Sir, Thakur Sir, Sushma
Madam, Moti Sir was held on 09-06-13
Following points were discussed on
09-06-13:
Around 33 ex students attended the
meeting.
1. Everyone was of view that Golden
Jubilee Celebrations should be in a
big way. All ex-students of School, be
it for 1 year or 14 years should
participate.
Suggestions are requested from all ex
students as to what should be the
events. An email id has been made
for this purpose.

Based on suggestions, activities, its
funding and job-to-do’s will be
formed up.
Time frame is 1 month i.e. by
09.07.13, all/maximum suggestions
should come which will help the core
group to decide further.
It was agreed that outcome of the
meeting and any other updates on
activities shall be conveyed to all ex
students who have given us email ids
2. To execute various activities, a
number of ex students have to work.
The format of work force for this
Mission 2015 of Golden Jubilee
Celebrations shall be as following:
a. Chairman : Director of MECON
(Incharge of School)
b. Chief Patron : Vice Chairman,
School Management Committee
c. Patron: Principal, JVM
d. Advisory Committee: one or two
persons from all batches till 1995. All
batches are requested to give names
of persons.
e. Steering Committee of 3 to 5
persons
f. Sub committees having a
chairperson, convenor and members
i. Website – 4th and 19th Batch
present in the meeting agreed to do
this
ii. Invitation to Teachers & staff and
Ex Students (Mr H N Thakur Sir and
Mrs Shushma Shukla Madam will help
us for all Ex Teachers and staff ) – 9th
Batch will be in constant touch with
them to collect all teachers and staff
contact nos.
For ex students, it was suggested that
this mail will be forwarded by all
recipients to all of their friends
known to them (whether they are of
same batch or not) .
List of mail id’s with name sent to
above email id will be most helpful.
This is required for propagation of
our intention as well as to keep all of
us updated on status.
iii. Reception, Press & Media,
Souvenir. Mr H N Thakur Sir will lead
the team for Souveneir.
iv. Logistics, Accommodation,
Transport – 8TH Batch will do it
v. Hospitality
vi. Cultural, Sports, Event, Stage
Management
vii. Administration, Law & order,
Security, Medical assistance – Help
will be sought from Local
administration and MECON
viii. Development & Infrastructure
enhancement – Help will be sought
from MECON for minor works.
ix. Finance and Registration of alumni
(as money transaction will be large)
x. Audit – Ex students who are CA’s
will do this work
3. It was agreed that in
December’2013 two days Fete will be
organised by the Alumni. This will be
testing waters for our organisational
skills. Any error will be corrected and
checked again in Fete of
Decemebr2014. This way we shall be
ready for December 2015 with zero
error.
Fete will be on last two days , before
Winter Holidays start , so that all
present students can also participate
This will help us generating some
funds for the alumni also.
It was suggested that a separate
account should be handled for Fete
and after completion of Fete, with
Audited account report, it should be
handed over to core committee.
4. Principal Sir was requested to
bring the school to the old glory and
even better
- It has been observed that General
Administration & Discipline among
students has been much better than
earlier.
- Results should improve for all
classes, including that of 10th and
12th. Ratio of Students who have
passed 10th from our school to total
Number of students getting seats in
premier institutions after 12th needs
a lot of improvement
- School activities should be more on
both Co curricular and Academics
front
Principal sir conveyed that all of the
above is being taken care and shortly,
we shall see improvements in this
area. He asked Ex students to
volunteer, who are strong in say
physics to teach say one class a week
and also to share their experiences
with present students. This will make
them more confident.
Next date of meeting with main
agenda points will be conveyed to all
ex students to whom this mail is
going. All ex students can mail us
their views on the developments.
