ICAR-NISA, Ranchi organized Live streaming webcast of the 22nd PM-KISAN Instalment release programme on 13th March 2026. About 200 Farmers from Ranchi, Khunti and surrounding Districts participated in the programme along with the staff of the Institute. Indian Council of Agricultural Research

ICAR–National Institute of Secondary Agriculture, Ranchi organized the Valedictory Programme of Kisan Mela-cum-Agriculture Exhibition 2026 on 9 March 2026. The programme began with a welcome address by Director Dr. Abhijit Kar, who welcomed the guests and briefed the audience about the objectives and activities of the event. Dr. Amit Pandey, Director, ICFRE–Institute of Forest Productivity, Ranchi, and Dr. S. Balasaraswathi, Director, Central Tasar Research and Training Institute, Ranchi, graced the occasion as Guests of Honour and addressed the farmers. Around 1200 farmers participated in the Kisan Mela and benefited from various activities organized during the event. Progressive farmers were felicitated, and Best Stall Awards were presented to selected participants for their outstanding exhibits. The programme also featured Kisan Gosthi sessions and technology exhibitions by various ICAR institutes, State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), government departments, SHGs, FPOs, NGOs, and private organizations, which provided valuable knowledge and technological insights to the farmers. Kisan Mela cm Agriculture Exhibition-2026.

ICAR–National Institute of Secondary Agriculture organized the Inaugural Programme of Kisan Mela-cum-Agriculture Exhibition 2026 on 8 March 2026. Director Dr. Abhijit Kar welcomed the guests and highlighted the institute’s achievements. Smt. Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Co-operative, Govt. of Jharkhand, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, while Shri Aboobacker Siddique P. attended as Guest of Honour. Progressive farmers, entrepreneurs and startups were felicitated during the programme. Kisan Gosthi sessions along with technology exhibitions by various ICAR institutes, SAUs, KVKs, government departments, SHGs, FPOs, NGOs and private organizations benefited farmers. About 1500 to 2000 farmers benefitted through this mela. Indian Council of Agricultural Research

ICAR–National Institute of Secondary Agriculture, Ranchi organized the live streaming of the Post-Budget Webinar on “Agriculture and Rural Transformation” on 06 March 2026. Farmers, scientists, and institute staff actively participated in the event and gained insights into new policy initiatives aimed at strengthening the agricultural sector and promoting rural transformation.
