♟️*INTER-HOUSE CHESS TOURNAMENT FINALS 2026–27*♟️
Oxford Public School, Ranchi, successfully conducted the Inter-House Chess Tournament Finals 2026–27 for Boys and Girls on 18th August 2026 (Tuesday) with great enthusiasm and competitive spirit.
The tournament witnessed the participation of 42 talented young chess players, who showcased exceptional concentration, strategic thinking, analytical ability, patience, decision-making and tactical skills.
The competition was organised in three groups: Group A (Classes VI–VII), Group B (Classes VIII–IX), and Group C (Class XI).

🎨🛍️ Inter-House Paper Bag Making Competition 2026 🛍️🎨
"Small actions create big changes." 🌱
Our young creators from Classes VI to VIII enthusiastically participated in the Inter-House Paper Bag Making Competition 2026, held on Saturday, 1st August 2026. The event provided a wonderful platform for students to showcase their creativity, artistic skills, and commitment to environmental sustainability by designing attractive and eco-friendly paper bags.
The competition witnessed remarkable enthusiasm, innovative ideas, and impressive craftsmanship as students transformed simple materials into beautiful, reusable paper bags. Through this activity, they reinforced the importance of reducing plastic usage and embracing sustainable alternatives.
Heartiest congratulations to all the participants for their outstanding efforts and appreciation to the teachers and House Wardens for their guidance and support in making the event a grand success.

🇮🇳 80th Independence Day Celebration at Oxford Public School, Ranchi 🇮🇳

Oxford Public School, Ranchi celebrated the 80th Independence Day with immense patriotic fervour, enthusiasm and a deep sense of national pride. The celebration beautifully reflected the values of freedom, unity, discipline, responsibility and service to the nation.
🇮🇳 The programme commenced with the soulful rendition of Vande Mataram, followed by the Flag Hoisting Ceremony and the National Anthem, setting the tone for a dignified and patriotic celebration.
🥁 The March Past, comprising 144 students, was led with pride and precision by Head Boy Suraj Kumar Singh (XII-E) and Head Girl Shreya Singh (XII-I). The synchronised movements, disciplined formations and impressive Band Display added grandeur to the occasion.
🎶 The Junior Wing presented a melodious Patriotic Song, while the Senior Wing enthralled the audience with a vibrant Inter-House Patriotic Dance Competition.
🏆 Winner – Inter-House Patriotic Dance Competition: Eliot House
The cultural segment also featured a soulful solo song by Dipayan Chakraborty (XI-G) and an evocative solo poem recital by Srishti Kumari (VIII-A).
🏅 A significant highlight was the Felicitation Ceremony, where 487 awardees were honoured for their outstanding achievements in various school events and competitions, including the Inter-House Carrom Tournament, Inter-House Table Tennis Tournament, Inter-House Rakhi Making Competition and the Annual Exhibition.
🎤 Addressing the gathering, Principal Mr Ranjeet Kumar Thakur emphasised the significance of Independence Day and encouraged students to uphold discipline, integrity, responsibility and the spirit of service.
🌟 Academic Director Dr Simi Mehta inspired the students to become responsible citizens and contribute meaningfully to the progress of the nation. She also announced the Best House in the March Past.
🏆 Best House in March Past: Byron House
The celebration concluded on a solemn and patriotic note with the rendition of the National Song and the National Anthem, followed by a heartfelt Vote of Thanks.

Oxford Public School, Ranchi proudly hosted its Annual Exhibition 2026 on the inspiring theme “Aatmanirbhar Bharat – STEAM for Nation Building”, bringing together imagination, innovation, knowledge and creativity.
With an impressive 325 exhibits, students of Classes VI–IX and XI transformed classroom learning into meaningful, hands-on experiences through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM). From Smart Surveillance – Military Defence and Smart Parking Systems to Digital Arthvyavastha and the interactive Viksit Bharat Escape Room, the exhibits reflected the spirit of innovation and self-reliance.
The exhibition was honoured by the presence of Dr. Sanjay Singh, Controller of Examinations (I/C), Ranchi University, as the Chief Guest, along with Chairman Sir, Dr. S. B. P. Mehta. The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to the management, dignitaries, teachers, students and parents whose support made the event a grand success.
The occasion also witnessed vibrant cultural presentations, including the “Viksit Bharatam” dance, along with the felicitation of our achievers. 🏅
