Lala Lajpat Rai Bal Mandir Senior Secondary School, Pundag, Ranchi, had the privilege of hosting the Two-Day Capacity Building Programme on Career Guidance and Counselling, organised by the CBSE Centre of Excellence (COE), Patna. The programme brought together nearly 60 teachers, fostering professional learning, collaboration and meaningful discussions on guiding students towards informed and fulfilling career choices.
🌸 DAY ONE – A PROMISING BEGINNING
The first day commenced on an auspicious note with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the illumination of knowledge and wisdom.
The programme was gracefully anchored by Ms Anamica Mishra, who conducted the proceedings with confidence and enthusiasm.
The gathering was enriched by a melodious Welcome Song presented by Mrs Swati, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The Welcome Address was delivered by Mr Sailendra Kumar, Principal and Venue Director, who extended a warm welcome to the distinguished Resource Persons and all participating educators. He highlighted the vital role of teachers in helping students discover their potential, understand emerging opportunities and make appropriate academic and career choices.

🇮🇳 Celebrating the Spirit of Patriotism Through Dance! 🇮🇳
The campus of Lala Lajpat Rai Bal Mandir Senior Secondary School, Pundag came alive with patriotic zeal and vibrant energy as the school organized an inspiring Inter-House Patriotic Dance Competition in celebration of the 80th Independence Day of India.
The programme commenced with the auspicious Lamp Lighting Ceremony, invoking the blessings of the Almighty and setting a graceful tone for the event. Students from all four houses mesmerized the audience with their powerful performances, beautifully portraying the courage, sacrifice, unity, and rich cultural heritage of our nation through music and dance.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Mr. Sailendra Kumar inspired the students to imbibe the values of patriotism, discipline, and national pride in their everyday lives. He encouraged every participant to perform with confidence, dedication, and sincerity. As the esteemed judge of the competition, he evaluated the performances on the basis of rhythm, synchronization, expressions, creativity, stage presentation, and effective portrayal of the patriotic theme.

✨ Tiny Patriots, Big Dreams! 🇮🇳🎭
With the spirit of patriotism and pride, Lala Lajpat Rai Bal Mandir Sr. Secondary School, Pundag successfully organized a Fancy Dress Competition for the students of Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Prep on the theme "Independence Day – Freedom Fighters."
Our little stars enthusiastically dressed up as legendary freedom fighters and portrayed their courage, sacrifice, and love for the nation with remarkable confidence and innocence. The event not only enhanced their stage confidence and communication skills but also instilled in them the values of patriotism and respect for our national heroes.
The competition was efficiently coordinated by our dedicated teachers: Ms. Poonam Julka Bhatia, Mrs. Ruby Sinha, and Miss Sameera Kujur.

Lala Lajpat Rai Bal Mandir Senior Secondary School, Pundag, successfully organized an inspiring "Best Out of Waste" Exhibition, providing a wonderful platform for students to showcase their creativity, innovation, and commitment to environmental conservation.

The enthusiastic students of Classes IV and V participated with great zeal, transforming everyday waste materials into beautiful, innovative, and useful creations. Their remarkable efforts reflected not only artistic talent but also the importance of the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle—encouraging sustainable living from an early age.

The event was conducted under the visionary guidance of our Honourable Principal, Mr. Shailendra Kumar, with the constant encouragement and support of our Respected Chairman, Mr. Ravi Parashar, and Vice Principal, Mr. Praful Kumar.

Student Motivation and Well-being Session
A Student Motivation and Well-being Session was successfully organised at Lala Lajpat Rai Bal Mandir Sr. Secondary School, Pundag, with the objective of promoting students' mental, emotional, and physical well-being while inspiring them to achieve their full potential. The program began with the ceremonial lamp lightning by the Principal,Mr. Sailendra Kumar, Vice Principal,Mr. Praful Kumar, Speaker Ms Sumana Roy Jain and Mr. Shailesh Jha, Raftaar Media
The interactive session was conducted by Ms. Sumana Roy Jain, an accomplished media professional, educator, and certified wellness practitioner. Ms. Jain has an illustrious professional background, having served as an Ex-Sub Editor at The Statesman, New Delhi, a former journalist with Hindustan Times, Ranchi, and a former Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication & Journalism at St. Xavier's College, Ranchi. She is also a Reiki Master, EFT Practitioner, Yoga Instructor, and Breathwork Practitioner, bringing together expertise in communication, education, and holistic wellness.
The programme was coordinated in association with Dr. Alka Singh of Raftaar Media and was designed to provide students with practical tools to overcome academic stress, build self-confidence, develop a positive mindset, and improve concentration through simple wellness practices.
During the session, Ms. Sumana Roy Jain interacted with students on topics such as motivation, emotional resilience, stress management, mindfulness, positive thinking, goal setting, and healthy lifestyle habits. She also demonstrated easy breathing exercises and relaxation techniques that students can incorporate into their daily routine to enhance focus, emotional balance, and overall well-being.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged in discussions and practical activities. The interactive nature of the session enabled students to express their thoughts, clarify their concerns, and gain valuable life skills for personal growth.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Mr. Sailendra Kumar appreciated the initiative taken by Raftaar Media and expressed gratitude to Dr. Alka Singh and Ms. Sumana Roy Jain for conducting such an enriching and inspiring programme. He emphasised that holistic education encompasses not only academic excellence but also the physical, emotional, and mental wellness of every learner. He encouraged students to adopt the healthy habits and positive practices shared during the session in their everyday lives.
