Lala Lajpat Rai Bal Mandir Senior Secondary School conducted an informative and engaging activity on โFood and Care of Farm Animals.โ The project aimed to build awareness among students about balanced nutrition, hygiene, health safety, and humane treatment of animals.
Under the guidance of teachers Mrs Anju Kumari and Mrs Deepti Kumari, students worked in groups and created wonderful presentations on the food habits, nutritional needs, shelter, and care of farm animals like cows, goats, sheep, and poultry.
Using creative models and charts, they highlighted the importance of green fodder, dry fodder, feed mixtures, clean drinking water, regular cleaning, and vaccination. Some groups even displayed daily care schedules and balanced diet plans.
The Principal, Shailendra Kumar, appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers. He shared that such hands-on projects give practical knowledge and nurture sensitivity and responsibility towards living beings.

Sight for Kids โ Vision Screening Camp

Our school was happy to host a special eye check-up and awareness camp under the Sight for Kids initiative, supported by the Lions Club of Ranchi East in collaboration with Kashyap Eye Hospital, Kokar Industrial Area, Ranchi.
A team of eye-care professionals conducted vision screenings for our students and guided them on the importance of regular eye examinations, healthy habits, and proper care of eyesight. The children participated enthusiastically and benefitted greatly from the expert advice.
We sincerely thank the Lions Club members and the medical team for their valuable service and commitment to the well-being of our students.

Cook Without Fire Activity: A Fun-Filled Culinary Adventure
Today , The students of Class 6 at Lala Lajpat Rai Senior Secondary School hosted a 'Cook Without Fire' activity, showcasing their creativity and culinary skills without using flames. The event was a huge success, with students whipping up delicious treats like sandwiches, sprouts, fruit salads and energy drinks. They explored various ingredients, learned about healthy eating habits, and mastered the art of food presentation .
Under the guidance of their teachers, Mrs. Dipty Kumari , Mrs. Rani Pandey and Mrs. Sukarmani, the students worked in teams to prepare their dishes, promoting teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills. The air was filled with excitement and the aroma of fresh ingredients as they presented their creations.
The activity encouraged students to think creatively, take ownership of their work, and enjoy the fruits of their labor . The event become a resounding success by the presence of Mr. Ravi Parasar ( Secretary), Mr. Sailendra Kumar ( Principal)and Mr. Praphul Kumar (Vice - Principal) .
The 'Cook Without Fire' activity was a testament to the school's commitment to provide engaging and interactive learning experiences that foster holistic development and create long lasting memories .

Motivational Counselling Session by Colonel J. K. Singh

A highly inspiring counselling session for the students of Classes XI & XII was conducted at our school by Colonel J. K. Singh, Commandant JAPโ2, Government of Jharkhand.
The program began with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Our respected General Secretary Mr. Rajesh Mehra, Honorary Secretary Mr. Ravi Prashar, along with the Principal and Vice Principal, graced the occasion.
The school choir presented a melodious welcome song, filling the atmosphere with patriotism and pride. Colonel Singh was felicitated as a token of our gratitude.
During his address, the Colonel guided students about the various entry routes into the Indian Army, eligibility criteria, and selection procedures. He stressed the importance of discipline, physical fitness, mental strength, and determination. Sharing experiences from his own service journey, he inspired students to dream big and dedicate themselves to the service of the nation.
The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mrs. Pallavi Sinha.

Blessing Ceremony *"AASHIRWAD 2026 " was Organized at Lala Lajpat Rai Bal Mandir Senior Secondary School, Pundag, Ranchi*
Lala Lajpat Rai Bal Mandir Senior Secondary School, Pundag, Ranchi, organized a grand and emotional Blessing Ceremony "AASHIRWAD 2026" in honor of Class 10 students at 10:30 am. The program aimed to motivate students before their board exams, provide guidance, and offer best wishes for their bright future.
The program began with the lighting of the lamp by Punjab Hindu Biradari and school management president Mr. Sudhir Uggal, general secretary Mr. Rajesh Mehra, honorary secretary Mr. Ravi Parashar, school principal Mr. Shailendra Kumar, and vice-principal Mr. Prafull Kumar. Students were welcomed with tilak and flower offerings. Students presented a welcome song, followed by captivating group dances, Geeta recitation, and poem recitation.
Mr. Rajesh Mehra, general secretary, emphasized discipline and continuous hard work as the key to success. Principal Mr. Shailendra Kumar advised students on regular study, time management, and the importance of self-confidence, urging them to focus on their goals. Vice-principal Mr. Prafull Kumar encouraged students to maintain a positive mindset and remain stress-free during exams.
A quiz related to the school was conducted, adding to the festive atmosphere. Class 10 students shared their experiences and memories with the school, making the event emotional and inspiring. Gifts and certificates were distributed among students.
The event's decoration was a major attraction, and a selfie point created under the guidance of teacher Ms. Deepti Kumari was popular among students and teachers. The program was successfully conducted by Class 9 students Dev Kumar and Punjakshi Bhattacharya, under the guidance of Ms. Sushma Kumari, Ms. Monika Gupta, Ms. Alka Prasad, and Mr. Roshan Kumar. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, national anthem, and photo session.

Farewell Ceremony (Utkarsh) 2026
A warm and memorable Farewell Ceremony, Utkarsh 2026, was organized in the school on 31 January 2026 to bid a heartfelt adieu to the students of Class XII. The programme featured a variety of cultural events including songs, dances, games, and fun activities, creating a joyful and emotional atmosphere.
The outgoing students fondly shared their cherished memories, while the juniors extended their best wishes for a successful and bright future. The programme was smoothly anchored by Keshav Sharma and Megha Kri.
The Mr & Mrs Farewell Competition was a special attraction of the event. Fahad Sohail (XII-A) was crowned Mr Farewell, while Simran Selat (XII-C) was crowned Mrs Lajpat Rai.
The gathering was addressed by the Principal, Mr Sailendra Kumar, and the Vice Principal, Mr Praphul, who motivated and blessed the students for their future endeavours. The students also received blessings from the respected members of the Managing Committee in the following sequence: President Mr Sudhir Ugal, General Secretary Mr Rajesh Mehra, and School Secretary Mr Ravi Parasar.
The programme was successfully conducted under the guidance of Ms Seema Trivedi, PGT English, the Farewell In-charge. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Keshav Sharma, marking the end of a memorable and emotional ceremony.

Participation in 55th National Safety Day Celebrations โ 2026
Lala Lajpat Rai Bal Mandir Senior Secondary School, Pundag, Ranchi participated in the competitions organized by SAIL Safety Organisation (SSO), Ranchi on the occasion of the 55th National Safety Day Celebrations โ 2026. The programme was held on 28th January 2026 at Bhashan Bhavan, SAIL RDCIS Building, Shyamali Colony, Doranda.
Students participated enthusiastically in the Sit & Draw Competition and Extempore Speech Competition (Hindi & English) under different age groups. The themes focused on Road Safety, Safety at School/Home, Fire Safety, and general safety awareness.
The participants included Aditya, Shivani, A***n, Mistee, Aradhya, Ayush, Avantika, Rishika, Megha Kumari, and Ateea Alam, who showcased creativity, confidence, and awareness on safety-related issues.
The students were guided by Mrs. Seema Trivedi, PGT English, In-charge Teacher. The programme was conducted under the able leadership and supervision of the Principal, Mr. Sailendra Kumar. The participation reinforced the schoolโs commitment towards promoting safety awareness and responsible citizenship among students.
