Computer Society of India Student Branch KITS Ramtek organized an interactive session with Mr. Jaspal Singh Sidhu, Vice-president, Citibank Singapore, on16thFebruary, 2018. Mr. Jaspal Singh Sidhu is the alumni of the institute.The interactive session was organized for the students of third year Computer Technology to get exposure for career aspects in the industry. Mr. Jaspal interacted with the students and shared some of his experiences in the financial sector. He also guided the students about the various technical and administrative aspects and the expectations of the industry. Mr. Jaspal, also shared the trending technologies for the future that students should focus upon to increase the employability

Students of KITS, Ramtek achieved first prize in “National Dance and Music Contest”

Shreekrishna Nrithyalayam, Nagpur organized National Dance and Music Contest “KRISHNAKRUPA NATYA UTSAV-2018” (all Indian Classical Dance, Music and Folk Competition) from 2nd to 4th February 2018 at Annasaheb Gundewar Sabhagruh, Nagpur. For this event various groups participated from all over India.
Group of 12 students of KITS, Ramtek were participated in Folk Dance (Gondhal) in this competition and won the first prize amongst all.

The 8th Semester students of Information Technology Department won the first prize with cash of Rs. 3000/- in the “National Conference on Advances in Engineering & Applied Sciences” on 29th January 2018 organized by Department of Electrical Engineering at Anjuman College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur.

The department of Electronics and Communication has conducted seminar and hands-on training program on design of semiconductor devices and its simulation using Visual-TCAD for the faculty of ECE and EED on 02/08/2017, 9.30 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm in DSP lab. EC Dept. The session was conducted by Mr. Shashikant Lahade (Asst. Prof. ECD) and Mr. Pravin Pardhi (Asst. Prof. EED). From ECE and EED 21 faculty member have attended the program.

Department of Computer Technology of Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Ramtek organized the inaugural ceremony for office bearers of Computer Society of India (CSI), Student Branch for the session 2017-18 on 12/08/2017. Mr. Suryakant Dhokey, Senior Technical Director, NIC Nagpur was the Chief Guest for the function. He shared his knowledge on Big Data and Digital India mission. Shri. Manish SharmaStaff In-Charge CSI, introduced the committee members of the student branch.Ms. Vaishnavi Urkudkar, President of CSI student branch discussed the various activities planned for the session 2017-18. Two days workshop on “Web Designing” organized by Department of Electronics
and Communication under IETE STUDENT CHAPTER
during September 2-3, 2017.

Two days workshop on “Web Designing” was organized by Department of Electronics and
Communication Engineering, K.I.T.S, Ramtek on 2 nd and 3 rd September, 2017. The workshop was
organized under the IETE student chapter for second, third and fourth year students. Around 170
students from various branches like EED, ECD, CTD, ITD and MED were actively participated in the
workshop.
The main objective of the workshop was to provide the fundamental knowledge of web
designing and development with hands on practice. The technologies covered in the workshop include
HTML, CSS, Java Script and MySQL. The workshop was conducted by M/s COJAG SMART
TECHNOLOGY PVT. LTD., Nagpur.
The inaugural ceremony of the workshop witnessed the presence of Dr. B.Ram Rathan Lal,
Principal, Dr.Pankaj Ashtankar, Asso. Dean of student activity and Mr. S. S. Chamlate, Staff Incharge.
Ms.Shivani Ghyar formally welcomed the dignitaries and expert from COJAG SMART
TECHNOLOGY PVT. LTD.

Smt. Avanti Kate performed classical dance kathak in KITS., Ramtek.

Cultural Club of Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Ramtek organized the Classical Dance “Kathak” on 10th August 2017. Nritya Visharad Smt. Avanti Kate was a star performer of the show and presented various aspects of Kathak. Smt. Avanti Kate was accompanied with Shri. Mohan Kurve on Tabla, Shri. Shrikant Pise on Hormonium and Ku. Monika Deshmukh, Ku. Aranja Wankar and Ku.Anuja Aneyrao as Vocals. Smt.Suchita Kulkarni President of SPICMACAY, Nagpur was the chief guest of the function. Dr. B. Ram Rathan Lal Principal KITS, Ramtek was present on this occasion. Faculty members and students of KITS, Ramtek were present in large numbers. Mrs. Sharada Mahajan and Mr.Sanjay Sawaitul were co-ordinators of the program. Performance of Smt. Avanti Kate received overwhelmed response by the audience.
