Delhi Public School Jhakri celebrated 80th Independence Day with great zest and pride, in collaboration with NJHPS as per the past practice in the SJVN / DPS ground.
The grand celebrations started with the unfurling of the Tricolour by Mr. Rajeev Kapoor, HOP, NJHPS cm Pro-Vice Chairman, DPS Jhakri along with LMC members and Dr. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Principal, DPS Jhakri, followed by Guard of Honor and a beautiful march past by contingents of CISF, HIMPESCO and NCC cadets of DPS Jhakri.
For the first time to celebrate and commemorate 150 years of National Song’ Vande Matram’, students of DPS Jhakri along with teachers presented the National Song and National Anthem. Later students of DPS Jhakri presented a beautiful Patriotic Dance evoking the profound feelings of Nationalism.
Principal, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Gupta addressed the teachers and students and congratulated all. With his words of wisdom, he instilled the feelings of unity, compassion and honoring the great sacrifices of National Heroes and to uphold the true values and traditions of India.
The auspicious event concluded with the rendition of National Anthem.

Dehli Public School,Jhakri organized a special morning assembly on 12th August 2026 to celebrate the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026, which is being observed from 9th August 2026 to 17th August 2026, along with the commemoration of 150 years of the National Song “Vande Mataram”.

The students of Class XI presented a beautiful special assembly where they spoke about the National Song 'Vande Mataram' which made the young dipsites familiar with the history and significance of the the song.
There were special orchestra performances on patriotic songs “Jai Ho” and the National song “Vande Mataram”.
Principal Dr. Mukesh Kumar Gupta in his address, encouraged the students to uphold the nationalistic feeling towards the mother nation and made young dipsites aquanted with the rich and glorious history, and great freedom struggle of India.

The children were enthused and encouraged towards a deep connection with the National Song, 'Vande Matram' and the Tiranga.

Raising Day Celebration
Delhi Public School Jhakri celebrated its 33rd Raising Day (Foundation Day) with great zest and pride in the school campus where many co-curricular and fun activities were organised.
The auspicious day commenced with the seeking of blessings from Maa Saraswati. Hawan was organised where staff and students enthused themselves in the mystic atmosphere.
Later in the day many fun activities & games were organised for the children.
The highlight of the day was the beautiful traditional Shimla Nati, where all the Dipsites along with staff savored the moment of joy and pride over the past glorious achievements as Dipsites.
A special community lunch, fun games & activities with open dance floor were a part of the Raising Day celebrations at the primary & preprimary wing.
Principal, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Gupta congratulated all on the completion of 32 glorious years and hoped to soar high in the field of excellence and quality education in the coming time and set new traditions of great achievement and proficiency.

The Investiture Ceremony at Delhi Public School Jhakri was a significant and proud
occasion and was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 14 th July 2026 in the auditorium
where Mr. Rajeev Kapoor, GM/HOP NJHPS cm Pro Vice Chairman DPS Jhakri presided
over the occasion as the Chief Guest along with Mrs. Shivali Kapoor.
The ceremony commenced with the formal welcome and felicitation of the Chief Guest
with a bouquet by the school Principal, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Gupta and senior staff
members.
After invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati with the lamp lighting ceremony and
beautiful welcome dance, Saraswati Vandana was performed.
The ceremony advanced with the prime custom of bestowing badges and sashes by the
PVC, Mr. Rajeev Kapoor GM/ HOP NJHPS cm PVC DPS Jhakri and Mrs. Shivali Kapoor
along with Principal, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Gupta to the newly found school council
members, Head Boy, Head Girl, Academic , Sports, Cultural, Arts Secretaries, House
Captains and Prefects.
The ceremony symbolized the trust and confidence that the school places in the
students.
The newly elected school council pledged to serve their roles with integrity, vision and a
sense of responsibility towards the school.
To add more charm to the occasion Aerobic Mashup enthused the students with their
maneuvers and synchronization.
Mr. Rajeev Kapoor, GM/HOP NJHPS in this address said,’Inculcating leadership qualities
not only induces the students to face the challenges confidently,it also enables them to
become future responsible citizens.
Principal Dr. Mukesh Kumar Gupta congratulated and motivated the Student Council
members and blessed them with his golden views.
The investiture ceremony concluded with the vote of thanks and rendition of National
Anthem.

English Transcription Competition was conducted successfully at Delhi Public School Jhakri on 11.07.2026 for classes 1st and 2nd. Such competitions are conducted to encourage students to improve their handwriting, spelling, punctuation, and presentation skills. During the competition, each participant was given a page from the English textbook to transcribe neatly within the allotted time. The students participated with great enthusiasm and displayed remarkable concentration and accuracy. Their neat work and sincere efforts reflected their dedication and love for the English language. The competition concluded successfully, and the winners were appreciated for their excellent performance.

PAPER FROG CRAFT ACTIVITY

"Artistic skills at display."

To boost creative skills among the students , paper frog craft activity was conducted for the toddlers of Pre-Primary of DPS,Jhakri on 11th July,2026.Children participated in this creative venture with great zeal and high spirits.

The tiny tots were amazed to see transformation of a flat sheet of paper into a finished sculpture through sticking the different parts together. Budding stars created unique and exclusive shapes to showcase their fineness in paper craft. They made "Frogs" celebrating 'Rainy Season' and displayed them with great pleasure and gratification.This activity triggered their imagination and enhanced their creative skills.

The activity proved to be simple yet intriguing. It was fun-filled as it made the young Dipsites to learn more about rainy season and life cycle of a frog.

To make the learning of multiplication tables interesting and interactive, a Maths Table Tambola Competition was conducted for the students of Classes III to V at Delhi Public School, Jhakri, Primary Wing on 10th July 2026. The students participated with great eagerness and excitement. They solved multiplication questions quickly and marked the correct answers on their tambola tickets. The activity helped enhance their mental calculation skills, concentration, and knowledge of tables in a fun-filled manner. The competition was a great success and was thoroughly enjoyed by all the participants.

Delhi Public School ,Jhakri organised Visit To Market for classes 1st and 2nd on 4th July 2026. The children were taken to the complex Market near the school at Jhakri, where they purchased eatable items of their own choice. This activity helped them learn about buying and choosing items independently.
After visiting the market, the students went to a nearby park, where they spent quality time playing, eating, and enjoying themselves. The day was filled with fun, laughter, excitement, and joyful memories. The activity was a wonderful learning experience that combined education with recreation.

Delhi Public School Jhakri organised Inter House Sports Competition on 4th July 2026, Saturday for Classes VI – VIII (Boys & Girls).
In the Inter house Tug-of-war (Girls), Yamuna House came first position followed by Ravi & Beas House at second and third position.
In the Inter House Basketball (Boys), Raavi House bagged 1st position by defeating Yamuna House in a thrilling match. Beas and Satluj house shared third position.
Principal, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Gupta said, ‘Sports and games teaches team spirit and boosts one’s morale and confidence. The school has always focused on the holistic development of students by providing them with different curricular and co-curricular activities time to time'.

The Pencil Cup Race is a low-prep, high-engagement activity designed for toddlers . It focuses on fine motor development and hand-eye coordination. Tiny hands,big focus and lots of excitement!

Our tiny tots of DPS,Jhakri enjoyed this balancing competition on 4th July 2026 , that helped them to build their concentration, coordination and patience -- all while having fun !

The pencil cup race is a highly engaging, movement-based game. Children balanced a paper cup on a pencil which they held in their mouth carefully and "race" to walk across the track without dropping it.
