JKGLTF Deputation Holds Successful Meeting with Dy CM and Education Minister

In a significant development, a high-level deputation of the Jammu Kashmir General Line Teachers' Forum (JKGLTF), led by its President, Sh. Neeraj Sharma, and Sh. Anver Wani, Head of the Kashmir Wing, met with Hon'ble Dy. CM, Sh. Surinder Choudhary, and Hon'ble Education Minister, Mtr. Sakina Masood (Itoo). The meeting was marked by a spirit of cooperation and a shared commitment to addressing the long-standing issues of teachers in Jammu and Kashmir.

During the meeting, the deputation submitted a comprehensive memorandum of demands, highlighting key concerns that have been affecting the teaching community. The demands included:

- _Promotion of Teachers to Masters and Lecturers_
- _Redressal of Pay Anomaly of 2009 Batch Teachers_
- _Restoration of Divisional Cadre to Masters_
- _Transfer Policy and Issues Related to ATD_
- _Implementation of Class Teacher Ratio (CTR) Instead of Pupil-Teacher Ratio (PTR)_
- _Fair Creation of Posts in Higher Secondary Schools_
- _Restoration of Old Pension Scheme (OPS)_

The deputation was accompanied by a team of esteemed members, including Dighvijay singh vice President JAMMU Akram, Vice President, Kashmir, Ramneesh Khajuria Gen.Secretary Indrees, Nisar, Tajinder Singh, Advisor, Ramanjeet Singh, Neeraj Sharma, Himmat Sharma media secretary, Amit Dabgotra, Avinash, Sanjeev, Govind, and others.

Hon'ble Dy. CM and Education Minister listened attentively to the deputation's concerns and assured them of their commitment to addressing these issues in a time-bound manner. The meeting was hailed as a major success, with the JKGLTF leadership expressing gratitude to the Hon'ble Dy. CM and Education Minister for their willingness to engage with the teaching community.

A delegation from the Jammu & Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum (JK GLTF), led by Mr. Farooq Ahmed Daing, President and Mr. Tasneem Beig, UT Organizing Secretary, met with Ms. Sakeena Masood (Itoo), Hon'ble Minister for School Education, Jammu & Kashmir at her residence Gandhi Nagar to discuss the pressing issues facing by the Education Department in the region.

The delegation presented concerns regarding the welfare and working conditions of the teaching community in Jammu & Kashmir. They emphasized the need for the Minister's immediate intervention to address these issues, ensuring the betterment of teachers' conditions

The forum hopes that the Hon’ble Minister will take swift and decisive action to resolve the concerns raised, ultimately bringing about positive change and improving the working conditions for the teaching community in Jammu & Kashmir.

Restoration of the Old Pension Scheme: Ensuring financial security for teachers post-retirement.
Promotions: Addressing stagnation by expediting promotions for teachers to masters and masters to lecturers.
Filling of Vacancies: Appointing headmasters and principals to facilitate smooth school functioning.
Clearance of Pending DPC for Lab Assistants: Prioritizing delayed Departmental Promotion Committee cases.
