_*REPORT ON GIRL CHILD PROTECTION AWARENESS CLASS HELD AT ST. THOMAS MAR THOMA SCHOOL, DAKSHIN JAGADDAL ON 21.07.2026*_
St. Thomas Mar Thoma School, Dakshin Jagaddal, successfully organized a Girl Child Protection Awareness Class on 21st July 2026 for the students of Classes V to X. The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students about the importance of child safety, protection, personal rights, and empowerment.
The awareness session was led by distinguished resource persons from Baruipur Police and Baby Land Foundation:
1. Mrs. Barnali Dey, Lady Sub-Inspector, Baruipur Police Station
2. Mrs. Sujata Sarkar, Lady Assistant Sub-Inspector, Baruipur Police Station
3. Mr. Biman Datta, Programme Coordinator, Trafficking and Child Rights, Baby Land Foundation
The resource persons interacted with the students on various important topics, including personal safety, good touch and bad touch, cyber safety, child rights, prevention of child trafficking, gender equality, and the importance of speaking up against abuse or harassment. The session encouraged students to be aware of their rights, develop self-confidence, and seek help from trusted adults whenever required.
The programme was highly interactive, with students actively participating by asking questions and sharing their thoughts. The speakers patiently addressed the students' concerns and motivated them to become responsible, confident, and informed individuals.
The school expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Barnali Dey, Mrs. Sujata Sarkar, and Mr. Biman Datta for their valuable guidance and inspiring leadership during the awareness class. Their expertise and commitment made the programme highly informative and impactful.

St. Thomas Mar Thoma School successfully organized a two-day Robotics Workshop on 2nd and 3rd July 2026 at 10:00 a.m. for the students of Class IX and above. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the exciting world of robotics, coding, and technological innovation.
The sessions were conducted by experienced robotics trainers, who explained the fundamentals of robotics, automation, sensors, motors, and programming in an interactive and engaging manner. Students were given hands-on experience in assembling robotic models and understanding how different components work together to perform specific tasks.
The practical activities encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, logical thinking, and creativity. Students enthusiastically participated in coding exercises, robot assembly, and demonstrations, gaining valuable exposure to emerging technologies and their real-world applications.
The workshop inspired students to explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and enhanced their confidence in applying technology to solve everyday challenges.
