With hearts filled with pride and spirits soaring high, Jyoti Shishu Vihar - Sonarpur celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with great valour, enthusiasm and pomp!

The celebration commenced with the proud hoisting of the Indian National Flag by Mr. Subir Ganguli, followed by his inspiring words that reminded us of the sacrifices, values and responsibilities that come tagged along with being citizens of our great nation. Our respected H.M. Ma’am further inspired everyone with her heartfelt and motivating address.

The patriotic fervour then came alive through an excellent cultural programme presented by our adorable kiddos. Their captivating performances, infectious energy and love for the nation truly mesmerized everyone present. ❤️🇮🇳

It was a celebration filled with pride, patriotism and promise—a beautiful reminder that the future of our nation shines brightly in the eyes and dreams of our children!

📚 Parent-Teacher Meeting | Classes III – V 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

At Jyoti Shishu Vihar, Sonarpur, we believe that a child's growth is best nurtured through a strong partnership between parents and teachers.

The Parent-Teacher Meeting for Classes III to V was conducted successfully, where the Pre Mid-Term assessment copies were shared with parents, providing valuable insights into each child's academic progress. Constructive discussions were held regarding the students' strengths, areas of improvement, classroom participation, discipline, and overall development.

The meeting served as a meaningful platform to strengthen the bond between home and school, with a shared commitment towards the all-round nurturing of every child. 🌿🐯 International Tiger Day & World Nature Conservation Day Celebration at Jyoti Shishu Vihar, Sonarpur 🌱💚

Nature is our greatest teacher, and every little step towards protecting it creates a brighter future for our planet. At Jyoti Shishu Vihar, Sonarpur, our young learners came together to celebrate International Tiger Day and World Nature Conservation Day with enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong message of environmental responsibility.

Our tiny stars from the Pre-Primary section delighted everyone by creating adorable Tiger Masks, learning about the importance of protecting the majestic big cat and its natural habitat.

The Primary Section marked the occasion with a Special Assembly, where students beautifully highlighted the significance of wildlife conservation and environmental protection through an engaging skit, thought-provoking presentations, and inspiring performances. Their message reminded everyone that conserving nature is not just a responsibility but a way of life.

Adding a meaningful touch to the celebration, the students of Classes I & II participated in a Sapling Plantation and Plant Exchange Activity. They lovingly exchanged their plants with their friends and made a heartfelt promise to nurture and care for them as their own, symbolising friendship, responsibility, and a shared commitment to a greener tomorrow.

Together, we continue to inspire young minds to become compassionate citizens who cherish wildlife, protect nature, and work towards building a sustainable future.

Our young learners enthusiastically observed 'Say No to Plastic Day' by participating in awareness rallies, engaging classroom discussions, and pledging to adopt sustainable habits. From raising powerful slogans to promoting the use of eco-friendly alternatives like jute and paper bags, our students demonstrated that every small action contributes to a healthier planet.

As part of Plastic-Free Week, they embraced the values of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, inspiring everyone around them to make environmentally responsible choices.

🌼✨ Rath Yatra Celebration 2026–27 at Jyoti Shishu Vihar, Sonarpur ✨🌼

A day filled with devotion, creativity, and joyful celebrations! 💛

The campus of Jyoti Shishu Vihar, Sonarpur came alive as our Primary and Pre-Primary students enthusiastically celebrated the sacred festival of Rath Yatra.

From beautifully crafted Rath Yatra-themed Torans and Masks by our Primary students to the colourful decorated Raths, scrapbook activities, and the traditional Rath-er Dori Tan (pulling of the sacred chariot) by our little learners, every moment reflected the spirit of faith, unity, and cultural learning. Our adorable Playgroup children, dressed in festive Rath Yatra-themed attire, added an extra touch of joy and charm to the celebration.

Through such meaningful celebrations, we nurture creativity, strengthen cultural values, and inspire our children to embrace India's rich heritage with pride.
