DR MYLSWAMY ANNADURAI: Padmashri Dr. Annadurai is the program director and the visionary behind the Chandrayaan- I, Chandrayaan-II & Mangalyaan missions. He will take us to the space through his topic “The Future of Space Tech in India".

DR. RUPINDER SINGH SODHI: An alumnus of IRMA, President of Indian Diary Association & former MD of Amul who is the man behind Amul’s blockbuster campaigns like ‘World’s original energy drink’ and ‘Amul Dhoodh Peeta Hai India.’ For the unversed, Dr. Sodhi was directly mentored by Dr Verghese Kurien, the father of the White Revolution for more than three decades.
Dr. Sodhi, through his topic “How New-Age Entrepreneurs Can Create a Timeless Brand” going to share his insights on crafting timeless brands in the present era.

RAJESH SRIVASTAVA: An alumnus of IIT Kanpur & IIM Bangalore. Has over three decades of corporate and academic experience. At United Spirits (now Diageo India), he played a significant role in creating some of India's most popular alcohol brands that include McDowell's Signature, Royal Challenge, Bagpiper & Blue Riband Duet. As a president at J.K. Helene Curtis Ltd, he re-energized the company and relaunched Park Avenue deodorant as a perfume. As an educator, he has taught at IIM Indore and SP Jain School of Global Management. As a corporate trainer, he has worked with prestigious companies like Siemens India, Mercedes-Benz Research Centre and Reliance Industries, among others. Throughout his career, his writings have appeared in various publications, including Outlook, the Telegraph, Mid-Day, Business Standard and Mint.
He will be speaking on the “Five Essential Skills, required to Succeed in the 21st Century”.

HLUBI MBOYA-ARNOLD: South African Actress, and humanitarian, who won SAFTA Awards for her role in “i am ALL GIRLS”.
Mrs. Arnold will share her vision on how creativity and innovation can drive sustainable social impact and how will her African vision shape the future of global change?

DR. PARAG AGARWAL: CFO, Dr. Reddy’s Lab & Co-Founder, TapIndia Foundation.
He’s going to share his insights on “The World Needs Wisdom and Compassion for All Sentient Beings".

JIVRAJ SINGH SACHAR: The host of the Indian Silicon Valley Podcast, where he engages in insightful conversations with top founders, investors, and experts from India's startup ecosystem. His podcast aims to democratize knowledge and provide deep insights into building successful companies.
In addition to his podcast, Jivraj is the founder of ISV Capital, a $5M early-stage venture syndicate focused on early-stage investments & Venture Partner at Tribe Capital India ($150M venture fund), and leads Startup Projects at Masters’ Union Business School. He's also an Ex-Founder who helped build Angel List India.

Shruti will be sharing her insights on "Tech for Social Good" and how young minds can leverage technology to make a real-world impact.

OM SATANI: A notable Youth Ambassador, winner of the Gujarat Youth Parliament, 3rd Gen Entrepreneur, a BBA (Honours) student of Marwadi University and aspiring leader of tomorrow wanting to bring a change in the contemporary society.

Day 1 of Netsip: IEEE Gujarat Section's Flagship Event (Dated- 25th July, 2024)

The IEEE Gujarat Section kicked off its flagship event, Netsip, at Marwadi University with an inspiring and impactful Day 1. The event was graced by a remarkable lineup of distinguished IEEE leaders, including:

Embracing Connections and Uncovering Stories

When we interact with people, we uncover a wealth of experiences, knowledge, and stories. It's a reminder to not just mind our own business because you never know what you will learn.

Today, I needed to purchase some electrical equipment and found myself at M. M. Electrical in Jubilee Market, Rajkot. There, I met the store owners, Mr. Kaidjohar and his son, Mr. Abbashbhai. During our conversation, I discovered an inspiring story about their family.

Mr. Abbashbhai's younger brother, Mr. Hamza Kapasi, is an alumnus of Marwadi University. Hamza completed his B.E. in 2019 and was immediately placed at Harley Davidson as a Chapter Manager. Over the past five years, his professional journey has seen him working with prestigious brands like BMW, Kawasaki, and now Harley Davidson in Dubai as a Parts & Accessories Manager.

Hamza's passion for mechanical engineering and automobiles was evident even during his university days, where he redesigned and remodeled a Honda motorbike. His dedication and achievements brought a sense of pride and happiness to his family, who spoke highly of Marwadi University.

Their words of gratitude and pride towards Marwadi University filled me with joy and a renewed sense of pride in our community. Here's to celebrating the achievements of Hamza and wishing his family continued success and prosperity.

On the face of it, it seems like a very tiny area of interest, but it’s really very vast, deep and at the same time very interesting. One can make careers such as Copyright Specialist/Manager, Intellectual Property Lawyer, Rights and Permissions Coordinator, Copyright Enforcement Officer, Content Creator/Producer, Academic Researcher, Copyright Consultant and many more.

It was really heartening to witness our MU students zestfully participating in this interactive session.
