The Department of Physics, Rajapalayam Rajus' College, Rajapalayam, organized a One-Day Workshop on MOOC Training Course on 19 August 2026 at the Smart Hall, as part of the celebration of World Photography Day.

The programme began with the Welcome Address by Dr. M. Raja, Head, Department of Physics. The Felicitation was delivered by Dr. C. Ramakrishnan, Principal. The technical session was handled by Dr. V. Moniha, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, focusing on Canva Tools and Design Techniques.

The workshop included a hands-on training session on Canva, where participants learned to create useful and attractive digital learning materials. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Dr. S. Deepalakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics.

The workshop was informative and useful, providing participants with practical knowledge of Canva and digital design tools for educational purposes.

We are delighted to announce that Ms. T. Jaya Surya, III B.Com. (Professional Accounting), and Ms. G. Gopika Devi, III B.Com. (SF), students of our department, secured the Second Position in the Chat Show event conducted on 18.08.2026 as part of Vittiyagyan Mela Week – 2026.
The event was organized by the Financial Markets and Investors’ Awareness Committee, SIRC – ICAI, Sivakasi Branch.

ராஜபாளையம் ராஜுக்கள் கல்லூரியில் 80 ஆவது சுதந்திர தின விழாவை முன்னிட்டு போதை ஒழிப்பு விழிப்புணர்வு மினி மாரத்தான் போட்டி நடைபெற்றது. இந்தப் போட்டியை ராஜபாளையம் ராஜுக்கள் கல்லூரியும், ராஜபாளையம் ரோட்டரி சங்கமும் இணைந்து நடத்தியது. இப்போட்டியை சிறப்பு விருந்தினர் ராஜபாளையம் ரோட்டரி சங்க தலைவர் திருமதி. பிரியா ஆனந்த் அவர்கள் துவக்கி வைத்து போட்டியில் வெற்றி பெற்ற மாணவ, மாணவிகளுக்கு பரிசுகள் மற்றும் சான்றிதழில்கள் வழங்கி சிறப்பித்தார். கல்லூரி முதல்வர் முனைவர் ராமகிருஷ்ணன் அவர்கள் தலைமை உரை ஆற்றினார். பரிசு அளிப்பு நிகழ்வில் ராஜபாளையம் ரோட்டரி சங்கத்தின் நிர்வாகிகள், கல்லூரி துணை முதல்வர், சுயநிதிப் பிரிவு ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர், பேராசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் அலுவலகர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு விழாவை சிறப்பித்தனர். கல்லூரி உடற்கல்வி இயக்குனர் நன்றியுரை கூறினார்.

The Department of Physics organized a two-day educational tour on 12th and 13th August 2026 to Kodaikanal, Mannavanur and Poombarai. Students visited the Kodaikanal Solar Observatory, where they gained knowledge about solar observations, astronomy and related concepts in Physics. The visit to Mannavanur and Poombarai provided students with an opportunity to explore the natural environment and understand its scientific and geographical significance. The tour was an enriching experience that combined academic learning, practical exposure, nature exploration and memorable moments, making learning beyond the classroom meaningful and enjoyable.

The 10th Joy of Reading – 2026: State Level Library Carnival for Schools was successfully organized on 12 August 2026 by Dr. D. Regupathy Raja Memorial Library, Rajapalayam Rajus' College, in association with the Rotary Club of Rajapalayam Kings City and the Rotaract Club of Rajapalayam Rajus' College Elite.
Conducted in connection with National Librarians' Day and aligned with UN SDG 4 – Quality Education, the event aimed to promote reading habits, creativity, and the effective use of libraries among school students.
More than 10 schools and nearly 100 students enthusiastically participated in competitions including Rangoli, Poster Making, Elocution, and Essay Writing.
The Overall Championship was won by Sri Vaiyapuri Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School, Sankarankovil.

இராஜபாளையம் இராஜுக்கள் கல்லூரியில் 11.8.2026 அன்று தமிழக அரசின் ஆணையின்படி போதைக்கு எதிரான உறுதிமொழி எடுக்கப்பட்டது. நாட்டு நலப்பணித்திட்ட மாணவ ,மாணவியர் ,கல்லூரியின் போதைப்பொருள் எதிர்ப்பு மன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள், பேராசிரியர் பெருமக்கள், ஆசிரியர் அல்லாத அலுவலர்கள்
என 650 பேர் போதைக்கு எதிரான உறுதிமொழியை எடுத்துக்கொண்டனர். கல்லூரியின் போதைப் பொருள் எதிர்ப்பு மன்ற ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் முனைவர் சிதம்பரநாதன் அவர்கள் அவர்கள் போதைக்கு எதிரான உறுதி மொழியை வாசிக்க அனைவரும் உறுதிமொழியை எடுத்துக்கொண்டனர். இந்த நிகழ்ச்சிக்கான ஏற்பாடுகளை கல்லூரியில் நாட்டு நலப் பணித்திட்ட அலுவலர்கள் மற்றும் போதைக்கு எதிரான மாணவர் மன்ற ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் ஆகியோர் செய்து இருந்தனர்.

Heritage Exploration by the Department of History

The II PG History students and staff of Rajapalayam Rajus’ College explored several heritage sites in Virudhunagar and Madurai districts. During the field exploration, they collected approximately 2,500-year-old ancient bricks from the Sengamedu Ancient Brickyard for preservation in our College Museum.

The team also discovered a Mahavir inscription and ancient idols at Kavasakottai. One of the idols bears an inscription mentioning “Thiru Unnaatur.”

Such field explorations provide our students with valuable opportunities to understand, document, and preserve our rich historical and archaeological heritage.
