Blood Donation Camp | 28.08.2026

Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam, in association with Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Madurai, organized a Blood Donation Camp through the NSS Unit. 83 donors, including students, faculty and non-teaching staff, voluntarily donated blood and contributed to the noble cause of saving lives.

Heartfelt thanks to all donors, volunteers, medical team and coordinators for making the camp a success. ❤️🩸

RIT–ECE Takes a Major Step Towards Next-Generation Chip Design
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Ramco Institute of Technology (RIT) is pleased to announce the sanction of access to leading industry-grade chip design and simulation tools under the Chips-to-Startup (C2S) Programme of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.

The initiative, supported by C-DAC and the ChipIN Centre, C-DAC Bengaluru, provides access to advanced resources for chip design, simulation, and semiconductor research.

This initiative will enable our students, faculty, and researchers to gain hands-on experience with industry-standard semiconductor design technologies, strengthening capabilities in VLSI, chip design, research, innovation, and technology development.

The opportunity further strengthens RIT–ECE’s commitment to industry-aligned education, advanced research, and nurturing skilled professionals for the growing semiconductor ecosystem.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a Guest Lecture on “Advanced VLSI Design and FinFET Technique” as part of the RIT Electronica Association Inauguration for III Year ECE students on 12.08.2026. The session provided students with an overview of advanced VLSI design methodologies, nanoscale semiconductor technologies, and the working principles and advantages of FinFET devices. The resource person also discussed recent trends, industry practices, low-power and high-performance circuit design approaches, and the growing importance of VLSI technology in modern electronic systems. The interaction helped students relate their academic concepts to real-world semiconductor applications and gain awareness of career, research, and higher-study opportunities in the VLSI domain.
