*HOW YOU TREAT ME IS YOUR KARMA, HOW I REACT, IS MINE!*

_Why is it so difficult for us to forgive others? Why do we find it so hard to let go?_

Sometimes, even years after a certain incident;
sometimes, even after they have apologized;
sometimes, when they have hurt you unknowingly and have no idea that you are struggling to forgive them.

_Why? Because We are usually under the misconception that we will be doing them a favor by forgiving them._

That in fact, is not the case.

_When we forgive someone, we actually do ourselves a huge favor because through forgiveness. _ *_We release all the negative thoughts, emotions and energies that we are so desperately holding onto in our anger. _*

_*Replaying the moment again and again in our mind, torturing ourselves in so many ways. It hurts us more than them, when we don't forgive._*

We find it hard to forgive because we think we are in the more powerful position when we hold back forgiveness.

Actually we are the weak ones, if that's the kind of power we rely on to give us strength.

_*We are also not able to forgive because we take everything so personally._*

Not everything another person does is done with the conscious intention of hurting you.

Sometimes they are just trying to protect themselves and that's the best way they know how to protect themselves.
Haven't you heard of the saying 'The Best Defence is Offense'?

_We need to give allowance to others for their insecurities and their imperfections without taking things personally._

So even if you do it for the most selfish of reasons, go ahead and forgive.

First, forgive yourself for holding onto the grudge for as long as you did.

Then, forgive the other person.

Finally, BE Yourself.

Walk in peace love and gratitude

*Friends/relatives are blessings that come into our life originally disguised as strangers. Remember to always listen to the wisdom of your own inner voice, and follow your heart.*

Have a great day !!!

Morning muse ………

*Ego And Self From A Different Angle*

_Ego is that something, which has two aspects – the positive and the negative. The creativity in you – are the results of ego. _

At the same time, when you break down communication, when you isolate yourself, when you’re in tears, when you’re stressed – that is also ego. We do not know about the ego, and so we don’t pay much attention to it. But just 2-3 facts, awareness of how ego works !

The self – the basis of life! You can call it the spirit, the soul, consciousness, the source of the mind – anything. It is that something, which doesn’t change in one’s whole life.

After discovering about all these levels, what is left is the Self.

Everything is changing, isn’t it? Do you notice this?

Just look at yourself in the mirror and then look at your picture taken a few months or a few years ago. Isn’t there a big difference?

Your body is changing, your thoughts are changing, the mind is changing, emotions are changing, situations are changing… But still you feel there is something in me which is not changing. So that something which is the basis of all change, that something through which you notice the change is the self – the atma, the spirit. It is the most amazing aspect of our lives.

Just a glimpse of it, a dip into your spirit energizes our whole system – and that is what meditation is.

*Spirituality is the skill of nurturing, purifying and blossoming one’s all levels of existence.*

This make sense !!!

*I'm a Little Tea Cup.*

Love this story or not, you will not be able to have tea in a tea cup again without thinking of this.

There was a couple who took a trip to shop in a beautiful antique store to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.
They both liked antiques and pottery and especially teacups.

Spotting an exceptional cup, they asked "May we see that? We've never seen a cup quite so beautiful."As the lady handed it to them, suddenly the teacup spoke, "You don't understand. I have not always been a teacup.

There was a time when I was just a lump of red clay. My master took me and rolled me, pounded and patted me over and over and I yelled out, "Don't do that.
I don't like it! Let me alone," but he only smiled, and gently said, *"Not yet."*

Then WHAM!

I was placed on a spinning wheel and suddenly I was made to suit himself and then he put me in the oven. I never felt such heat.

I yelled and knocked and pounded at the door. "Help! Get me out of here!"
I could see him through the opening and I could read his lips as he shook his head from side to side, *"Not yet."*

When I thought I couldn't bear it another minute, the door opened.

He carefully took me out and put me on the shelf-life, and I began to cool. Oh, that felt so good! "Ah, this is much better," I thought.

But, after I cooled he picked me up and he brushed and painted me all over.

The fumes were horrible. I thought I would gag.
"Oh, please, stop it, stop, I cried." He only shook his head and said, *"Not yet."*

Then suddenly he puts me back in to the oven.
Only it was not like the first one. This was twice as hot and I just knew I would suffocate.
I begged.
I pleaded.
I screamed.
I cried.
I was convinced I would never make it. I was ready to give up.
Just then the door opened and he took me out and again, placed me on the shelf, where I cooled and waited and waited, wondering, "What's he going to do to me next?"

_An hour later he handed me a mirror and said, "Look at yourself." And I did._

*I said, "That's not me. That couldn't be me. It's beautiful. I'm beautiful!"*

Quietly he spoke: "I want you to remember.

_I know it hurt to be rolled and pounded and patted,_ _but had I just left you alone, you'd have dried up_. _I know it made you dizzy to spin around on the wheel, but if I had stopped, you would have crumbled._

_I know it hurt and it was hot and disagreeable in the oven, but if I hadn't put you there, you would have cracked._

_I know the fumes were bad when I brushed and painted you all over, but if I hadn't done that, you never would have hardened. You would not have had any color in your life. If I hadn't put you back in that second oven, you wouldn't have survived for long because the hardness would not have held._

Now you are a finished product. Now you are what I had in mind when I first began with you."

*The moral of this story is this: God knows what He's doing for each of us.He is the potter, and we are His clay.*

_He will mould us and make us and expose us to just enough pressures of just the right kinds that we may be made into a flawless piece of work to fulfill His good, pleasing and perfect act._

*So when life seems hard, and you are being pounded and patted and pushed almost beyond endurance; when your world seems to be spinning out of control; *

*when you feel like you are in a fiery furnace of trials; * *when life seems to "stink", try this.*

_Brew a cup of your favorite tea in your prettiest tea cup, sit down and think on this story and then, have a little talk with the Potter.._

Have a great day !!!!

*I now release anger in positive ways.*

*I love and appreciate myself.*

*COMING HOME*

A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his parents from San Francisco. "Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've a favor to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring home with me."

"Sure," they replied, "we'd love to meet him."

"There's something you should know," the son continued, "he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mind and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us."

"I'm sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live." "No, mom and dad, I want him to live with us."

"Son," said the father, "you don't know what you're asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can't let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He'll find a way to live on his own."

At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was su***de.

The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn't know, their son had only one arm and one leg.

*The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it very easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we don't like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather stay away from people who aren't as healthy, beautiful, or smart as we are.*

Thankfully, there's someone who won't treat us that way. Someone who loves us with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the forever family, regardless of how messed up we are.

_*Tonight, before you tuck yourself in for the night, say a little prayer that God will give you the strength you need to accept people as they are, and to help us all be more understanding of those who are different from us!!_*

There's a miracle called Friendship that dwells in the heart. You don't know how it happens or when it gets started but you know the special lift it always brings. And you realize that Friendship is God's most precious gift!

*Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their hearts to us. Show your friends how much you care.......*

Have a great day !!!

It was mid April - a time when the planet Earth reels under the harsh rays of the Sun.

There was a boundless desert with no trace of life except a little flower. There was not a bird or tree in sight. Just hot, burning sand. The mercury was so scorching the sand dunes became heaps of burning coal as the days passed on.

*But the little flower weathered the wrath of Sun under such unfavorable conditions.*

_One afternoon, the Sun, having surprised at the flower's ability to survive, said to the little flower, "Dear Flower! I am the supreme power in this universe. I have the power to give and take life. Thousands of living things succumb everyday, as they are not able to bear with my heat. But, you have been weathering even my harshest rays without any complaint. May I know the source that gave you this immense strength?"_

"Oh, mighty Sun," the little flower said humbly, "I don't know much about this desert. But it appears immense and there seem to be no one else in the whole horizon my eye could stretch. *I began empathizing with the loneliness of this desert and decided to help it to whatever extent I could. And in this process, I never experienced anything that causes pain to me. *My whole concern has been to be a good friend to this desert and ward off its loneliness."*

_Touched by the little flower's concern for the hoary desert, the Sun showered a bounty - a bounty of million other flowers that filled the desert with their sweet fragrances and thus transforming the entire stretch into a great oasis of life._

Have a great day !!!!
