Columbia Professional University, Raipur successfully organized an Expert lecture on NEP 2020, which was held on 14th February 2026 at CIET Seminar hall. The eminent speaker for the session was Dr. Naresh Kumar Nagwani Sir Professor of Computer Science Engineering Department at NIT Raipur.
The session was graced by the presence of our esteemed dignitaries Chairman of JPES and Chancellor of CPU- Mr. Kishore Jadwani Sir, Secretary of JPES- Mr. Harjeet Singh Hura Sir, Principal CIET - Dr. Prof. S.K Moulik Sir, Principal CCE - Dr. Arun Dubey Sir and Principal CCSC - Mr. Anand Shrivastava Sir, along with Dr. Shiv Shankar Shukla and Dr. Sumit Shrivastava.
The programme initiated with seeking blessings by lighting the lamp. Mr. Kishore Jadwani, Chancellor CPU welcomed the Guest Speaker Dr. Naresh Kumar Nagwani Sir, then after the session began with a deep delve into the details of NEP 2020 highlighting the key aspects and it's role in the holistic development of students. Various queries were also resolved at the end of the session.
At the conclusion, Mr. Harjeet Singh Hura presented a memento to the speaker. The programe was conducted by Prof. Reena Khan, Assistant Professor, CIET, and concluded successfully with active participation from all.

On January 13, 2026, the Columbia Group of Institutions organized a special lecture to commemorate Swami Vivekananda Jayanti (National Youth Day). The keynote speaker was Swami Prapattyananda Ji of the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Ashram, Raipur (C.G.). The programme aimed to recall the life and ideals of Swami Vivekananda and to inspire self-confidence, character building, and a spirit of nation-building among the youth.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr. S. K. Moulick, Principal, Columbia Institute of Engineering and Technology, who emphasized that Swami Vivekananda's ideals continue to motivate young minds and that such programmes contribute significantly to students' holistic development.
In his enlightening lecture, Swami Prapattyananda Ji elaborated on Swami Vivekananda's philosophy, stressing self-belief, discipline, moral values, and the pivotal role of youth in national progress. A memento was presented to him by Dr. Arun Kumar Dubey, Principal, Columbia College.
The programme was smoothly anchored by Ms. Niharika Gupta, with a vote of thanks by Ms. Rashmi Dewangan, and overall coordination by Dr. Vinay Soni. Enthusiastic participation from faculty, staff, and students made the event highly successful and inspiring.

Glimpse of an Industrial visit dated - 07/11/2025, organized by CSE Department of CIET to "Yasham Software Solution" for the students of Third semester CSE and AI branch.
The primary objective of the industrial visit:
• Provide CSE students with practical insights into the operations of a tech company.
• Enhance their understanding of software development practices,
• Explore real-world applications of their academic learning.
• Students gained insights into ongoing projects and how theoretical knowledge is applied in practical scenarios. Information on career paths, internships, and job opportunities in the tech industry was shared.
• The industrial visit concluded successfully being highly informative and beneficial for the CSE students. It provided them with a valuable perspective on the IT industry and enhanced their readiness for future careers.

We are delighted to announce that the Eye Check-Up Camp, organized on 4th November 2025 in collaboration with MGM Eye Hospital, Raipur, has been successfully completed.
✅ 314 individuals (students, faculty & staff) underwent eye screening.
✅ After the initial check-up, selected individuals were further examined through the Mobile Eye Clinic Van equipped with advanced digital eye testing facilities.
Students from CIET, CIP, CCP & CCSC actively participated in the camp with great enthusiasm.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Respected Principal Sir and all HODs of CIET for his constant encouragement and motivation, which greatly contributed to the success of this health initiative.
Special thanks to the NSS volunteers, organizing committee, and the medical team from MGM Eye Hospital for their dedicated support.
