U C MAS – a global concept and the pioneer in teaching Abacus Mental arithmetic has been training more than a million children around the world (50 countries) since 1993. Established in UK in 2005 UC MAS has been very successful in providing a strong arithmetic foundation for more than 200000 registered students between the ages of 4 to 14 years, helping them to perform mental calculation at an amazing speed and accuracy.
This unique instructional method of teaching mental arithmetic uses the 4000-year-old tool, the Abacus to teach mental arithmetic to children. The basic function of the Abacus is to turn the numeric concept from abstract into visible, touchable and moveable beads. In this programme, bead interpretation is a process of turning the abstract numeric concept into beads.
