Two days Workshop on POCSO Act 2012 in Shree Shankara Sen. Sec. School, Urkura, Raipur on 28-29 October, 2022.

Two days Workshop on POCSO Act 2012 was conducted in Shree Shankara Sen. Sec. School. Dr. Jaya Vasudevan (Dean, UG Law, Controller of Examination, HNLU, Naya Raipur ) and Ms. Parvati Nambiar ( Law Aspirant, HNLU, Naya Raipur) were the resource person. Whole Staff and students have attended the workshop and were guided about it.
Both the resource person has reiterated the importance of the role played by educators in the safety and security of children. The teachers were also made aware about the various forms of sexual harassment that are often overlooked. This workshop also provided information to all the teachers and students on various preventive steps to be undertaken for identifying signs of abuse and the relevance of POCSO Act.
Resource persons have educated the participants on the importance of knowing these laws – The Child Rights – Right to Survival, Protection, Development, and Participation, Juvenile Justice Act and POCSO ACT – 2012 for prevention of Child Sexual Abuse and understand both psychological and legal implications of the Act.
Session was graced by President (Adv. B. Gopa Kumar), Treasurer (Mr. K Vishambharan Nair), Joint Treasurer (Mr. Manmohan Pillai), Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Nitee Singh Yaduvanshi, Vice Principal (Mrs. Ritu Choudhary).

The Shree Shankara Senior Secondary School, Urkura Raipur is a family, we tend to celebrate all of the festive events in the most exemplary and affable way. The Diwali celebration was made distinctive by the pooja that were arranged. Everyone had mutual participation, and the aim to make everyone included was contented. Our school President Sir (Adv. B Gopa Kumar) and Secretary Sir (Mr. Shailesh Nair) wished everyone Happy Diwali. The Principal, Vice Principal and teachers wished for everybody to have the most effulgent Diwali.

English Teachers of Shree Shankara Sen. Sec. School attended a workshop on activity based interactive English Language ( ELT) Conducted by Bharati Bhawan Publishers and Distributors. Where they learned the ideas to deal with the challenges faced in English Language class, making it more interesting with fun and creative activities.

Session was graced by Mr. Amber Banerjee, a language coach, an expert in text book writing, syllabus design and advanced teacher training and was a part of CBSE ELT project in collaboration with the British Council ( UK) on 15 October’2022.

हमारी संस्था श्री शंकरा सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल के 2 विद्यार्थियों कुमारी हिमानी सिन्हा और महादेव विजय कुंभर ने वर्ष 2022-2023 राज्य स्तरीय शालेय क्रीड़ा प्रतियोगिता, कैरम टूर्नामेंट में रायपुर जोन टीम का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए ब्वॉयज टीम ने गोल्ड मेडल और गर्ल्स टीम ने सिल्वर मेडल हासिल किया ।
