At Columbia Professional University, a Farewell Party was organized on 14 May 2026 by the junior pupil teachers of the 2025-27 batch of Columbia College for the senior pupil teachers of the 2024-26 batch. The programme aimed to extend a warm farewell and best wishes to the outgoing students for their bright future.
The programme commenced with Saraswati Vandana and ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by the welcome of guests with flower pots. Principal Dr. Arun Kumar Dubey, in his welcome address, encouraged the pupil teachers to become dedicated and ideal educators.
The event was graced by respected Dr. Umashankar Sharma, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Raman Kumar Jha, and Registrar Prof. Shiv Shankar Shukla. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Umashankar Sharma highlighted the role of teachers in nation-building and personality development. Prof. Raman Kumar Jha emphasized the importance of values, discipline, and character in teaching, while Registrar Prof. Shiv Shankar Shukla motivated students to continuously develop their skills and knowledge.
The programme featured cultural performances, games, and memorable interactions between juniors and seniors, creating an emotional and joyful atmosphere. Certificates were also distributed to students and teachers for outstanding performance in the Vande Mataram celebration and co-curricular activities. The vote of thanks was delivered by Vice-Principal Dr. Abha Dubey.
Special titles were awarded during the programme, including Miss Evening to Lalita Verma, Mister Evening to Deepak Gupta, Miss Farewell to Hemlata Yadu, Mister Farewell to Shahil Verma, and Mister All Rounder to Harish Dhiwar.
The programme concluded with a group photo session and vibrant dance performances on DJ music.

Columbia College organised a valedictory session of the 30 hour (15 days) Value Added Course on Communicative English, conducted from 09-04-2026 to 27-04-2026, was held on 27-04-2026. The programme was graced by the Pro-Chancellor, Hon'ble Shri Harjeet Singh Hura, and the Registrar, Hon'ble Prof. Shiv Shankar Shukla of Columbia Professional University. The Pro-Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the institution and encouraged students to make the best use of such learning opportunities. Prof. Shiv Shankar Shukla highlighted the importance of value-added courses under NEP and their role in students' academic and professional growth.
The welcome address was delivered by the Principal, Dr. Arun Kumar Dubey. The course overview was presented by the Course Coordinator, Dr. Abha Dubey, who shared the course structure and the progress made by the students. Students also shared their experiences and expressed how the course helped improve their communication skills.
Certificates were awarded to students who successfully completed the course by meeting the required criteria, including 80% attendance, written and oral tests, and active participation.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Neelam Arora and overall coordination of the programme was managed by Ms. Savita Rani Verma, Asst. Prof.

On April 24, 2026, on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day, a "Role Play Program" was successfully and effectively organized at Columbia College, Raipur under the joint aegis of the Social Awareness & Extension Committee and the Rotaract Club.
Pupil teachers participated enthusiastically in the program. They presented role plays based on various social and educational themes, including "भ्रष्टाचार बनाम ईमानदार सरपंच", "सशक्त ग्राम सभा", "ग्राम सभा की ताकत" and "आदर्श ग्राम पंचायत (बदलाव की बयार)".
Through these presentations, the pupil teachers creatively and effectively highlighted important issues such as rural development, transparency, good governance, and public participation.
The program was successfully coordinated by Dr. Raj Dewangan, Ms. Rekha Yadav, Ms. Roshni Verma, Mrs. Savita Rani Verma, and Ms. Sanju Sahu.

On 22-04-2026 on the occasion of Earth Day, Columbia College, Raipur organized a successful and impactful Poster Making Competition under the aegis of the Social Awareness & Extension Committee on the theme "One Earth, One Chance."
A large number of pupil teachers from B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. programs enthusiastically participated in the competition. Through their posters, participants creatively presented important themes such as environmental conservation, pollution control, climate change, tree plantation, and sustainable development.
Winners of the Competition-
- First Place: Khushbu Verma, B.Ed. II-Semester
- Second Place: Princy Xalxo, B.Ed. II-Semester)
- Third Place: Isha Nishad, B.Ed. II-Semester
The competition was evaluated by a panel of judges, including Miss Sinthia Zaman, Asst Prof., CPU and Dr. Neelam Arora, Asst. Prof., Columbia College. The results were declared based on creativity, presentation of content, and effectiveness of the message.
The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Raj Dewangan. The entire program was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. Arun Kumar Dubey and Vice-Principal Dr. Abha Dubey.

On 13 April 2026, Columbia College organized a special "अभिव्यक्ति" programme on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great social reformer, principal architect of the Indian Constitution Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. The objective of the programme was to acquaint pupil teachers with his life, struggles, ideals, and invaluable contributions to society.
On this occasion, the pupil teachers presented readings and thoughtful reflections highlighting various aspects of Dr. Ambedkar's life. They expressed their views on his inspiring journey, his firm commitment to education, his efforts toward social equality and justice, and his significant role in the making of the Indian Constitution.
All the participants enthusiastically took part in the programme. The programme proved to be highly inspiring, informative, and enriching for all the pupil teachers.

Columbia College, Raipur organized its weekly yoga session on Friday, 10 April 2026 at the Seminar Hall of Columbia Global School under the esteemed guidance of respected Guruji.
This wellness session is regularly conducted every Friday for the holistic development of B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. pupil teachers.
During the session, pupil teachers actively participated in various yogic asanas, pranayama, and meditation practices, which helped enhance physical fitness, mental peace, and concentration. Respected Guruji also highlighted the importance of yoga in maintaining a healthy body, calm mind, and disciplined lifestyle.

Columbia College, Raipur has started a 30-hour (15 Days) Value Added Course on "Communicative English" from 9 April 2026 to 27 April 2026 for B.Ed. IV-Semester and D.El.Ed. 2nd Year pupil teachers to improve their Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing skills and strengthen their overall English communication abilities.
The programme began with the welcome address by Principal Dr. Arun Kumar Dubey, who explained the importance of the course in enhancing professional and classroom communication skills.
The course will be conducted under the guidance of Dr. Abha Dubey, Vice Principal and Resource Person, who is certified by the British Council. She presented the complete course outline and informed the pupil teachers that certificates will be awarded after successful completion and assessment.
The inaugural session was graced by the hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Raman Kumar Jha, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he highlighted the importance of multilingualism in today's professional world and said that knowledge of more than one language opens new career opportunities and enhances personality development. He encouraged the pupil teachers to practice regularly, remain positive, and move ahead with confidence to achieve success in life. His motivating words inspired the pupil teachers.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Neelam Arora.
