Gurukul Group of Institutions Gram Purasi, Post Halor, Tehsil Maharajganj The purpose of Gurukul is to impart education which seeks to graduate students who:

The core philosophy of Gurukul lies in the belief that educational institutions exist not merely for supplying the society with a trained workforce or as an instrument of conformist wisdom BUT are beacons of human consciousness and are centers of inquiry. Are able to place themselves in the larger context of society
3. Are sensitive to their ecosystem including

inquiry into the human condition and the surrounding nature
4. Have a global outlook
5. Have the necessary skills to lead a flourishing life
Gurukul has also chosen to practice its philosophy in the context of the “Last Child” residing in the educationally most under-served areas of India primarily rural India; conflict areas etc. “Gurukul” seeks to fulfill its vision by providing low cost quality education to the “Last Child” by leveraging technology as a tool for enhancing quality of education by increasing reach of quality teachers, leveraging existing online tools for enhanced learning, using existing materials available online etc. all as a measure to reduce costs yet increase learning in order to get quality education to the most under-served communities. Gurukul group of institutions was founded in 2005, starting with a degree college with strength of just 28 students. The first batch started learning in 2008 and since then in just a few years it has grown to 4 institutions (1 teacher training college proposed) and more than 500 students. This includes a Degree College, a teacher education institute starting next session; an associated primary school plus an inter college. A post graduate college is also under the approval process. The journey of “Gurukul” has just begun…

Happy 76th Republic Day! 🇮🇳

Today, as we celebrate the values of justice, equality, and liberty enshrined in our Constitution, we at Gurukul reflect on the incredible journey of transforming education in rural India.

What started as just three classrooms has grown into a senior secondary CBSE school, empowering less privileged children with quality education and the skills to dream big.

On this special day, we recommit ourselves to building a brighter, more inclusive future for our students and our nation. Together, let’s continue to shape young minds and uphold the true spirit of India.
