The Department of Political Science, in association with the IQAC of Dr. B.K.B. College, Puranigudam, Nagaon, Assam, organized a popular discussion on "The Preamble as a Reflection of India's Democratic Aspirations" on Constitution Day, 2024. The event, held in Room No. 11, was moderated by Mr. Ankur Protim Mahanta, Head of the Department of Political Science.

Dr. Nripen Ch. Das, Principal of the college, delivered the welcome address, followed by a speech on democratic values and the Preamble by Dr. Kamal Ch. Saikia, Vice Principal. Two students (Supriya Gogoi from BA 5th semester and Suhani Baruah from BA 3rd semester) from the Department of Political Science presented insights on the basic principles of the Preamble. The program concluded with remarks by Mr. Ankur Bania, Assistant Professor of the department.
