We also have a doctor on call to take care of any emergencies, should they arise. About Jyoti Chopra, Founder & Principal, Happyland Pre-School

Jyoti Chopra is the founder and principal of Happyland Pre-School located at Mohammadwadi, Pune. She has over 20 years of experience teaching children upto the age of 9, including 15 years of experience in teaching hearing impaired students as well as dyslexic and slow learners. Having started her career as a primary teacher in Carmel Convent School, Bhopal, Jyoti then went on to teach at the Gopi Birla Memorial School, Mumbai for almost 2 decades. During the years in the Birla school, she developed new techniques which made learning fun and easy for the little ones and also supervised the teacher trainee interns of the Sophia Shree Basant Kumar Somani Memorial Polytechnic, and the ORT Mumbai. She was also short listed as a finalist at the National Level in a teacher’s competition for the Intel Award for the Most Innovativeuse of Computer Technology to enhance computer learning and has been regularly using computers as a teaching-aid and an effective class room tool. When she wasn’t teaching, Jyoti wrote workbooks for both History, Geography, and a Hindi Vocabulary building book entitled ‘Ankur’, and Created several worksheets and stories to make the learning of the Hindi and English language interesting and easy. These are being used by the grade I students of the Gopi Birla Memorial School. Jyoti is a graduate from Lady Irwin College, New Delhi, and completed the final years of her schooling in Our Lady of Fatima Convent, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.
