CCIE Lab Exam Changes 2026 | New CCIE Practical Exam Pattern Explained.

Cisco has officially announced major changes to the CCIE Practical Lab Exam with the introduction of the new AI Deploy, Operate & Optimize (AI DOO) module starting from 2027.

The updated CCIE practical exam will now include:
🔹 Design (DES) – 2 Hours
🔹 Deploy, Operate & Optimize (DOO) – 5 Hours
🔹 AI Deploy, Operate & Optimize (AI DOO) – 1 Hour

Cisco is integrating AI Assistants, AI Agents, GenAI, and automation into expert-level certifications, making this one of the biggest CCIE exam changes in recent years.
