Masters course in Advanced Digital Tools in Architecture & Design

To prepare architectural academics for the future aspirations BNCA is reconfiguring learning patterns that focuses on capacity building. A frontier learning programme in the form of M.Arch Digital Architecture capacitates the architectural students by strengthening the areas that are relevant to contemporary architectural practices. To prepare for the future trajectories, design learning at BNCA f

acilitates unmolding of conventional learning model. In order to cope with new challenges and demonstrate architecture’s ability to contribute to delve into new domains, the architecture discipline is trying to extend beyond the boundaries of its institutional knowledge. The Digital Department at BNCA is fostering creative research explorations from its platform by facilitating a research cell as well as a comprehensive two years Masters programme in Digital Architecture. At the core of this course are the notions, methods and skills of digital architectural design, understood not as a stylistic option but as a novel paradigm with a focus on pragmatic solutions. The Digital Department provides an educational format for cross disciplinary interactions and investigations that pave way for performance oriented parametric design operations. It is a novel learning platform for creative communities that encourage experimentation and critical thinking.
