Children with a variety of learning and physical challenges require special interventions, services

07/05/2026

At Sunderji Early Intervention Centre, we focus on purposeful, goal-oriented therapy where every activity is designed with a clear developmental intent 💙

In this rubber band activity, what looks simple is actually working on multiple foundational skills at once. Stretching and placing rubber bands helps strengthen finger muscles, improves hand grip, and develops fine motor coordination. It also supports bilateral hand use, visual attention, and sustained concentration—skills that are essential for writing readiness and daily functional independence 🌱

Each repetition encourages better motor planning and control, helping the child understand force, accuracy, and sequencing in a structured way. Through our 1:1 remedial sessions, we ensure that every activity is meaningful, skill-based, and tailored to the child’s developmental needs ✨

We also guide parents with easy home strategies so learning and progress continue beyond the therapy session, making development more consistent and functional 🌈

🧠✨ What looks like a simple activity… is actually powerful brain training in action.

At Sunderji Early Intervention Centre, our 1:1 remedial sessions are thoughtfully designed for holistic development — where a single activity works on multiple skills at the same time.

🟡 Dual Tasking isn’t just doing two things together:
It’s a structured therapeutic approach where a child performs
✔️ one motor task (movement, balance, coordination)
✔️ along with a cognitive task (thinking, recalling, responding)

And this combination is where real development happens.

Through these activities, children gradually learn to:

✔️ Stay focused even with distractions
✔️ Improve coordination between mind and body
✔️ Strengthen attention span and processing speed
✔️ Build executive functioning skills like planning & decision-making
✔️ Become more independent in daily activities

Many children who struggle with anxiety, sensory sensitivity, or poor focus may still have an active Moro reflex.💛

The Moro reflex is a primitive survival response present at birth — the body’s natural startle reaction.

When a baby experiences sudden movement or loss of support, the brain triggers:
➡️ Arms extend outward
➡️ Neck extends
➡️ Body goes into alert mode

This reflex is important in early development, but it should gradually integrate as the child grows.

If it remains active, children may experience:
• Heightened startle response
• Emotional reactivity
• Sensory overload
• Difficulty with attention
• Nervous system dysregulation

Exercises like this gym ball movement gently help the brain organize and integrate this reflex.

By safely recreating the movement pattern, the nervous system learns that it is not a threat.

Over time, this can support better regulation, body awareness, and focus.

The goal is not to force the reflex away — but to help the brain integrate it naturally through movement.

Because a child’s brain develops through repeated sensory experiences…
and movement is one of the most powerful ways to support that growth.

What looks like a simple activity… is actually powerful development in action.

At Sunderjis Early Intervention Center, even one activity is designed to work on multiple skills at the same time.

Tyre pulling is not just movement —
it combines physical effort with coordination, focus, and control.

And that’s where real progress begins.

🌟 Through this activity, children learn to:

✔️ Stay focused
✔️ Improve coordination between mind and body
✔️ Build strength and endurance
✔️ Feel more calm and regulated
✔️ Plan and complete movements better

Because real life is never one task at a time —
and learning should prepare children for that.

Simple activity. Meaningful development. 💛

For many parents, understanding their child’s progress isn’t always easy.✨

There are questions…
confusion…
and the need for the right direction.

At Sunderji Early Intervention Centre,
our Parent-Teacher Meeting focused on exactly that.

Not just sharing reports —
but helping parents truly understand their child’s journey.

What we focused on:

Individual progress and improvements
Areas where support is still needed
Simple ways to continue that support at home
Clear next steps for development

Along with this, students participated in small games and activities —
because learning here is always a balance of structure and joy.

Because progress becomes meaningful
when parents and educators work together — consistently. 💙

What looks like “just sitting on a ball” is actually doing a lot more than meets the eye. 👀✨

At Sunderji Early Intervention Centre, our 1:1 remedial sessions are designed for holistic development — where one activity supports multiple skills at the same time.

🟡 Sitting on a therapy ball isn’t just play:
It strengthens core muscles, improves balance & posture, and builds body stability — all of which are essential for everyday tasks like sitting, writing, eating, and even focusing.

This is what our sessions are all about — purposeful therapy activities with deeper intent.
Not random tasks, but thoughtfully designed exercises that support coordination, control, and functional growth.

💡 The best part?
We don’t just do this in sessions — we show you how to do it at home too.
Our team shares simple, practical home activities and helps you understand the why behind each one, so you feel confident continuing the journey beyond the centre.

📍 Curious to see how it all comes together?
We’d love to show you.

Meet Aditya Ade, a shining example of resilience and growth and a star of Sunderji Institute of Special School. Diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome at 5 years old, Aditya faced challenges with speech, hyperactivity, and anxiety. Initially enrolled in a mainstream school, he struggled with bullying, which led to regression. But his journey took a turn when he joined Sunderji Institute of Special School, where he found acceptance, support, and the right learning environment.

One of his biggest achievements? Gaining independence! He started cycling to tuition classes and, later, school—learning road safety and building confidence along the way. His passion for sports also flourished at Sunderji Institute of Special School, where he actively participates in basketball, cricket, and badminton.

As he transitioned to the Skill Development Centre, he became more responsible helping teachers, classmates, and even taking on household chores. His biggest milestone? Learning to ride an electric scooter safely, allowing him to travel independently!

Today, Aditya is a confident, self-reliant young man who manages his daily life with ease. His journey proves that every child can achieve independence and thrive with the right support!
