On 17 April 2026, SIIB, Pune, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), marking a step towards stronger collaboration with the industry.

The MoU formalizes the partnership between SIIB and FIEO, creating opportunities for students to gain practical exposure to international business and trade. It supports learning beyond the classroom by connecting students with industry insights and real-world applications.

This initiative reflects SIIB’s continued commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry and promoting practical learning.

Symbiosis Centre for Research and Innovation (SCRI), under Symbiosis International University, announces the opening of PhD admissions, offering aspiring researchers an opportunity to engage in advanced academic pursuits.

The programmes feature interdisciplinary research, expert mentorship, access to advanced research resources, and global exposure, fostering a comprehensive research environment.

The key dates for PET 2026 are as follows: 21 April is the last date to apply, the entrance test is scheduled for 9 May, results will be declared on 13 May, personal interactions will be conducted from 22 May to 3 June, and the merit list will be announced on 12 June.

SIIB, Pune, proudly congratulates Dr. Ganesh Valiachi, Assistant Professor, SIIB, on the publication of his insightful article titled “India’s outreach to Angola will contain energy risk.”

Published in The Hindu Business Line, the article examines how India’s engagement with Angola can help diversify its energy imports, reduce overdependence on traditional suppliers, and strengthen resilience against geopolitical and supply chain disruptions. It further highlights the strategic importance of expanding India’s presence in African energy markets to ensure long-term energy security.

The publication reflects strong domain expertise and contributes meaningfully to the discourse on global energy strategy, trade linkages, and risk management.

SIIB, Pune, proudly congratulates Dr. CA Madhura Ranade, Faculty of Finance, SIIB, along with her PhD scholar, Kimaya Nahar, on the successful publication of their research paper titled “Deciphering Pico-Solar Product Adoption: A Random Forest Approach.”

Published in the Indian Journal of Marketing, the study explores the factors influencing the adoption of pico-solar products using advanced analytical techniques, offering valuable insights into sustainable energy adoption and consumer behavior.

The journal is indexed in Scopus and ranked in ABDC, reflecting strong academic credibility and contributing meaningfully to research in marketing and sustainability.

On 31st March 2026, Symbiosis Institute of International Business, Pune, proudly celebrated the Stepping Out Day of the MBA Batch of 2024–26.

The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by farewell addresses by Dr. Alka Maurya, Director, SIIB, and esteemed faculty members. The event featured heartfelt speeches by student representatives and recognition of excellence in academic achievements, along with the distribution of certificates to various committees and clubs. The occasion also included a vote of thanks and a nostalgic film capturing cherished student memories, and concluded with memento distribution, marking the culmination of an unforgettable journey.
